Chapter 17

It was exactly 16:36 when I caught Aunt Sarah and my dad making out. I knew because the digital clock above their heads caught my eye while they were kissing. My dad saw me first. He dragged his head away from her in a sad attempt to act natural.

"Aura! You're home so soon." He stepped away from my aunt and smoothed down his dress shirt. Smudging at the lipstick on his mouth, he smiled innocently.

"Yes. I have a date tonight and I need to get ready." I answered, already making my way up the stairs. "Please, continue with what you were doing." I tried to contain my smirk but failed miserably. I didn't have to turn around to know Aunt Sarah was blushing furiously.

It didn't take me as long as I thought it would to do my makeup and get dressed. I did a little twirl in the mirror as my duty as a estrogen- producing female. My white, lace dress that reached my knee and hugged me in places I didn't know I had. My pale skin contrasted with the bright red lipstick that coated my lips. I left my hair down because I really didn't know what to do with it. By the time I was done observing myself, it was ten to six. 10 minutes before Zylen showed up. I redid my lipstick and mused up my hair. This was our first official date after two months of dating, and it was safe to assume that my nerves were all over the place. The only bit of information I could squeeze out of Zylen was that we were going to a fancy restaurant for dinner.

"Oh my god. You are the most beautiful girl in the world." Aunt Sarah cried when I tried to wobbled down the stairs in my heels.

"I agree." My dad said, giving me a small smile.

I thanked them as I finally reached the end of the stairs. As soon as I composed myself, the doorbell rang. I shooed my nosy aunt and dad away as I opened the door, but my dad didn't budge.

"Hey." I greeted as soon as I saw Zylen. He wore a dark suit and the tattoos on his hands were visible. He looked absolutely gorgeous, it wasn't even fair.

His knowing smirk told me he noticed my perving. His mouth opened and closed as he gave me a once over. "You look so beautiful." He confessed, as his hand curved around my waist.

My dad, who I was going to murder later, cleared his throat loudly, ruining the moment. "Zylen, this is my dad. Dad, this is my boyfriend, Zylen."

"It's nice to meet you, sir." Zylen greeted and extended his hand. My dad shook his hand firmly. "You make the six o' clock news awesome to watch." At Zylen's shameless compliment, a large smile appeared on my dad's face. He gave Zylen an approving pat on the back.

"I like him," he said to me. "You hold on to this one, Aura."

I just nodded. "We should get going." I grabbed Zylen and led him to the door. I saw my dad wave goodbye in the distance as we drove off to wherever Zylen was taking me.

Even though I had nothing to compare it to, I knew that our first date was the best first date in the history of first dates. I knew because we could be at home, or at the fanciest restaurant in town(Which we were), as long as we were in each other's company, then nothing else mattered.

I noticed we were not at my house when we stopped the car after having an amazing date. I looked over at a smiling Zylen in question. Without a word, he got of the car and opened my car door for me. I stepped out and looked around. It was dark. We were near a dam, from what I could tell. When he put on a flashlight, I confirmed my theory that were indeed by a dam.

"What are we doing here?"

"You'll see. You need to get changed though. I look forward to seeing you in this." He handed me the only bikini I owned.

"How did you get this?" I untangled the blue bikini bottom from its top.

"Your Aunt gladly handed it over when I told her about our spontaneous date."

I made a mental note to give Aunt Sarah a piece of my mind when I got home.

"Well," I looked at him expectantly. "Turn around." I made a circle motion with my finger.

He turned his back to me with a chuckle and began undressing himself. I stole glances over my shoulder as I could faintly see the muscles in his back ripple as he put on a pair of swimming trunks.

"Are you done?" He asked.

"Yes." I tried to cover the upper half of my body by crossing my arms over my chest.

"What are doing?" Zylen asked, pointing at my arms.

"I'm just not the best fan of my body." I admitted. I thought I was a bit to skinny, and it made my ankles look bigger. My boobs were barely a measly b-cup.

Zylen looked at me, adorably confused. He gently pulled my hands away from my chest and even though I couldn't see his eyes all too well, I knew they shone with that blue intensity. "You're absolutely perfect, baby. You never have to feel anything less than perfect when you're with me."

I kissed him in response. Behind those tattoos and piercings was the sweetest guy in the entire galaxy.

We swam and goofed around in the dam the whole night, and even when the sun came up, I could still see the stars in his eyes when he looked at me.
