Hi! I've tried really hard to make this chapter remotely movie - ish. I'm not sure! 😊. Let me know.
"What the hell, man!" Zylen stormed into his living room, everything quaking in his wake. "Why the f**k would you do that?"
We all looked around, confused as to who he was talking to. It became apparent when Jesse stood up and held his ground.
"What exactly did I do wrong, Zy?" Jesse said, almost as furious as Zylen was. "Their my abilities, I should be able to do whatever the f**k I want with them!"
They got closer and closer to each other. Drew firmly held Jesse back, while Cole did the same with Zylen.
"Okay, will someone please tell us what the hell is going on?" Adam said, speaking the minds of everyone else in the room.
"Ask this piece of shit!" Zylen clamoured. "He Abstracted on a girl at school. She showed up at the front door, squeezing her legs together. Heavy panting. Looking for him." His murderous eyes landed back on Jesse.
Silence filled the room. Everyone knew about Zylen's rule against using your abilities against anyone who isn't Abstract. I wasn't sure if anyone beside myself knew his reasoning behind it. If an Abstract uses their powers on someone who isn't Abstract, the effect will last for a very long time.
"I'm so sick of you telling us what to do. I'm not a friggin' child! Stop acting like my father!"
"Obviously you need me to act like your dad because you need to grow the fuck up! You think I do it because I want to assert my dominance over you guys. I do it to protect you! Do you realise that chick is going to spend months like a bitch in heat? She'll probably rape someone to get off. If something happens to her, it'll be on you, Jess. Only on you. Do you even understand how this is going to affect my plan?" Zylen charged out like a bull, and I decided against following him.
A terse silence followed. Everyone ceased doing what they were doing before Zylen stomped in. Instead, all eyes were on Jesse, who looked positively crestfallen.
"I didn't know, all right?" He finally said under his breath. "How was I suppose to know?"
"Why did you use it on her in the first place?" Nabeela shuffled closer to him. "It's not okay to make her feel like that for you. It's sexual manipulation, Jess."
"I know that. Believe me I do, guys. I just really wanted her to like me. I-I-I just panicked." He ran his hands over his face in frustration and shame. "What am I going to do?"
"We'll figure it out, man." Cole patted him on the back. "First, we have to go find this chick and take it from there."
Jesse nodded, his expression somber.
"I'll start looking now. You guys go ahead and eat lunch without me." He grabbed his jacket and sunglasses and was out the door before anyone could stop him."Am I the only one who feels like this Abstract abilities is more of a curse than a blessing?" Greg asked.
"Babe, nothing could ever be a curse when you're around." Bella squeezed his arm. He smiled down at her as they gave each other Eskimo kisses, while everyone else groaned at the thought of the impending, public make out session that was about to occur.
"I should go check on Zylen." I announced.
I found him packing a bag. He threw clothes carelessly inside and zipped it frantically.
"What are you doing?"
"I have to go. At least for a while." He said, but he looked anywhere and at everything but me. He slung the bag over his shoulder and finally turned his eyes on me.
"Where are you going?" I demanded. What was going on with him? He couldn't be leaving just because he had that fight with Jesse. Zylen ignored me though, as his eyes scanned the room, presumably for his car keys. When he found them, he stuffed them into his pocket and faced me.
"I can't answer your questions right now, baby. I'm begging you to trust me."
"Zy, seriously, what the hell--"
He cut me off by planting his lips against mine. "I love you, Aura."
He bolted out of the door, leaving me baffled, his taste still on my mouth.

"Why did Zylen just hightail out of here like Satan was hot on his trail?" Nabeela said, her finger pointed at the door that stood ajar.
"I don't know. He seemed really worried about something. It's making me worried." I confessed. Something was off, and it made a pit in my stomach.
"I'm sure it's nothing. He's probably still pissed--"
Bang!
I felt the vibration of the sound before it pierced my ears. I looked up, seeing the door that once was ajar now on the floor, separated at the hinges. A girl stood at the entrance, her platinum blonde hair tied into a braid so that the sinister smirk on her face was clear enough for everyone to see.
"I've waited a long time for this." She said, her voice was sweet. It dripped with laced venom and unveiled cruelty. She had an accent I couldn't place, but it sounded Middle Eastern.
"Who are you?" Rehana squeaked. She was just as mortified as the rest of us.
"I'm Xael, but never mind the pleasantries for now. We'll have plenty of time to get to know each other when we get home."
"Okay, this chick is off her rocker." Derek said.
"I can assure you I'm not insane, Derek." A soft smile touched her cherry lips. "But I can see the lot of you are going to put up a fight, so this will be harder than I thought."
Autumn rose from her position on the couch. "Listen up, chicka. You need to leave right now. You might be scaring them, but you don't scare me. Now crawl back to whatever nuthouse--"
Platinum Blondie held out her hand and clenched it into a fist, and, as if it were rehearsed, Autumn fell to the ground, unconscious.
"Oh, Autumn, you've always been a talkative bitch." She sneered
She scrutinized us, her aqua gaze floating around our faces. "Now," She checked her watch, "Who's next?"
DUN! DUN! DUN!
