Hector watched as Clarissa sat at the kitchen counter laughing at something on her phone.
Since Clarissa was a baby he had always been there. He was the one to change diapers, feed her, take her to school, school events, practices, games, everything.
Clarissa's parents traveled so much after she turned five, they missed most of time that they had with her when they were alive. Not Hector though, he always took care of the beautiful little girl who had tried to say his name as her first word.
He smiled at that thought.
Hector loved Clarissa like any spectacular Dad would, he made sure that she had everything, an never felt the void of her parents being gone. She was his little girl, and he wanted nothing more than to make sure she always smiled.
"She's so happy." Mariana said coming up beside Hector.
"She is."
"I remember when she was a little thing, just barely smiling, simply glints of happiness in her eyes."
"Now she's a grown woman and is completely and utterly breathtaking." Mariana continued.
"I remember when I would try to make her smile, she'd always scrunch up her face and fuss, until I just sang to her." Hector said reminiscing.
"She's always adored you."
Hector nodded his head, and a tear slid down his cheek. The sweet little girl that he protected and nurtured was all big and grown up, and he hadn't been able to do anything about it.
"Hector." Clarissa called, catching his attention.
"Yes Master Elliott." He answered standing up straighter.
Clarissa frowned, she really did hate when he called her that.
"Why are you crying?"
"There was only something in my eye." He told her.
"Are you sure?" She pressed.
"Yes Master Elliott."
"Okay. I'm going to go get ready, I have a date with Andrew today." She told him while getting off the counter chair she inhabited.
"Okay, have fun Master Elliott."
"Thank you Hector."
Clarissa walked out of the kitchen to take the stairs to her room.
'What should I wear?' Clarissa asked herself as she opened her closet.
Walking inside she sat down on then sofa at the far end of the closet, and looked from one side of clothes to the other. 'Jeans or dress, flats or sandals, shoulder bag or tote?' Clarissa asked her self.
Deciding on a pair of vintage Levi's, a Saint Laurent flannel shirt and black flats with a Louis Vuitton shoulder bag. She was ready to go.
Walking down the stairs she saw Andrew standing in the open foyer talking to Hector as he waited for her.
Andrew had on a light gray long sleeve Kuhn shirt, Fidelity jeans and a pair of Clark's. He looked good.
"Hello gentlemen." Clarissa said, making her presence know.
Both men turned and smiled at her.
"You look beautiful Master Elliott." Hector said with a proud smile on his face.
"Truly." Andrew agreed.
Saying see ya later, Clarissa headed out the front door hand-in-hand with Andrew.
