Chapter 12: Christmas

Armin stuck his tongue out as he and Krista tried to wrap their presents for Ymir.

It was Christmas Eve and the Arlert's were all wrapping their presents for their friends and family. Ymir has been spending Christmas with the Arlert's for as long as her and Armin had been friends.

Ymir's family abandoned her and her brother when they were young and so they only had each other, well they had an alcoholic auntie who was abusive, until Armin offered for them to spend Christmas with his family. . Ymir saved for a house so her and her brother could get away from their auntie and now they are both happy people. Armin admired Ymir for still smiling despite all of that going on at home. Armin offered for them to spend Christmas with his family.

This years Christmas was going to be amazing though.

Obviously Armin's grandpa and Krista were there but then Ymir was coming too. This year Moblit wouldn't be joining them as he was going to his friends for Christmas. Eren and Mikasa and their parents were coming though considering Armin's grandpa had made arrangements with Carla and Grisha for them to come and stay for their dinner.

Armin was extremely excited, he loved Christmas and spending it with literally everyone that he loved was amazing.

Armin raised his head when he heard the doorbell go.

"Krista! It's Ymir please take her presents to the kitchen and I'll come help you wrap in a minute."

Krista nodded collecting the mixture of presents into her arms before scurrying into the kitchen.

Ymir had always stayed over on Christmas Eve and it was always fun when Ymir would stay.

Armin opened the door welcoming Ymir with a hug after he checked Krista was out of sight.

"Jeez, took you long enough! It's freezing out there." Ymir exclaimed as she started unbuttoning her coat.

Krista peeked out of the door giving Armin the thumbs up, telling him the presents were done and wrapped.

Krista then shut the door softly to the kitchen before wrapping her arms around Ymir from behind.

Ymir jumped before turning around to be greeted with Krista's smiling face.

"Hey there."

Ymir leant down to kiss Krista's lips before the three walked into the living room where grandpa Arlert was sitting on the floor surrounded by colourful rapping paper and bows.

"Merry Christmas grandpa." Ymir smiles before grandpa Arlert stood up to greet Ymir.

"You alright dear?"

"Better than ever." Ymir smiles wrapping one arm around both of the twins necks. "How about you?"

"I'm good thanks Ymir. But if the three of you could help finish up these presents that'd be great."
