Beep! Beep! Beep! The whirring of machines sounded in the distance. fighting the darkness that continuously kept pulling her under, she gathered up with little strength she had and struggled against the impending darkness. As the beeping got louder, her eyes opened to a piercing bright light. What she was not prepared for however, was what awaited her on the other side.

As her eyes adjusted to the blinding lights, the pain ricocheted throughout her body. As the shooting, piercing pain radiated throughout her body, so did the memories. Once again she was back in the car, stuck in the four way intersection, gripped by the fear she had when seeing that Chevy barreling down the road right towards her. In a matter of seconds, her heartbeat accelerated and her breaths became shallow. Lost in the memory, she didn't realize the man rushing towards her until she felt his warm hands grip her shoulders and heard his soothing voice in her ear. "Hey, Hey, Take it easy, breathe! Your OK, your fine, just relax." As the deep husky voice reached her ears, she was pulled back into the present.
