Well, Emma, we have the results of your tests. It appears you are in fact, pregnant. Congratulations.  W...What did you say? Emma asked, uncertain if she was hearing correctly.  "Emma, you are pregnant, the doctor stated.  "I take it, this is a welcome surprise" the doctor said as Emma smiled through her tears. " Yeah, yes it is, a very welcome surprise, we been trying for a long time and told the chances were very slim. "Well, then, this is good news, good news indeed the doctor replied. After an examination, Emma was told she was about 8 weeks pregnant. After being given prenatal vitamins and told to rest and drink lots of fluids, Emma was sent home.  As she drove down the road, Emma couldn't stop the tears that rolled down her face.  She smiled, thinking of the look on Jeremiahs' face when she told him the news.
It was 6 o' clock and Jeremiah just pulled into the driveway. When he got to the door, Emma ran to him and jumped into his arms as once again the tears fell from her eyes. "Hey baby, What's wrong? Why are you crying, What happened?  As the tears continued to fall, and her body started trembling, Jeremiah shifted her in his arms and carried her to the couch. After placing her on the couch, Jeremiah crouched in front of her and grabbed her hands. "Baby, what is it? What has you so upset?" "I'm not upset, I'm happy. Really, Really happy."  "Then why are you crying?" Jeremiah asked. "Because... I took your advice and went to the doctor today to find out why I been so sick. And he told me some great news... Jeremiah, I'm pregnant, We are going to have a baby!!! As joy replaced the shock on his face, Jeremiah got up and lifted Emma off the couch and spun her around.  "Jeremiah! Put me down this instant!! Emma said, laughing as he twirled her around. "Yes, Mom!" Jeremiah joked with a smile on his face. When her feet finally hit the ground, It took a minute for the dizziness to subside. When she was once again on equal footing, Jeremiah led her to the couch and insisted she rest as he went to bring out their dinner plates she had left on the counter.  After dinner was eaten and dishes where cleaned, Jeremiah and Emma sat to enjoy a movie.  As his arms wrapped around her waist, his eyes brightened at the thought of their child growing inside of her.  As he rubbed her belly, Jeremiah leaned over and kissed Emma.  "Thank You,  for making my dreams come true. I promise to love you and take care of you and our baby in every way that I can. I swear Emmy to be the best daddy in the whole world."  As tears once again filled her eyes, Emma smiled and, leaning back against him, promised to do her best to take care of and nurture their baby.  As the movie started, Emma snuggled in closer to Jeremiah and let the day melt away, content with her life.
