In the distance, he could barely make out the snow-covered car inching slowly on the road then sputter and stop. A split second later the red Chevy truck barrelled down the road crushing her car In seconds. With the screech of tires and shattering of glass reverberating in his ears , he jumped out of his car into the impending doom. As his dream played out in front of him, he ran faster, hoping and praying he wasn't too late.

Emma was inching her way slowly up the road when it happened. One minute her car was moving and the next it sputtered and died. Come on! Not again!. Emma thought as her car came to a rolling stop right in the middle of the four way intersection. Fighting for rising panic, she keyed the engine again and again with no prevail. Looking up from her dashboard, her eyes went wide with fright as she saw the red Chevy truck speeding down the road heading right toward her!!! As the headlights blinded her vision, her last thought was of the family she would never have. As the excruciating pain radiated throughout her body, her eyes closed and the darkness surrounded her. Finally... she was at peace.

Jeremiah replayed the last few hours over and over in his head, trying to get the blue eyed blonde haired beauty out of his head. No matter how hard he tried, he couldn't stop thinking about her and wondering if she would live. Confused by the overprotectiveness and familiarity that washed over him as soon as he saw her, he knew without a doubt that she was the girl from his dreams and the girl he wanted to keep. Unwilling to leave her, he sat down in the hospital waiting room chair, closed his eyes, and let the world dissolve into darkness.
