Without that innocent kiss
What a life I'd have missed

Ella

Our breathing slowed back to its normal pace as we lay next to each other in the large bed of the fancy hotel room. His arm was tightly around my body, my head on his chest.

"I swear every time it just gets better." He smiled.

"We've been together for four years."

"I know, imagine when we're like fifty."

"I don't want to." I shook my head with a small giggle, my eyes focused on the navy wallpaper and the rose petals scattered on the floor that had fell from the honeymoon sweet bed.

He laughed. "We'll still be hot. And the sex will still be great."

"That's because I'm obviously like the messiah. I'm basically Jesus." I joked.

"I don't think I'd want to sleep with Jesus." His face screwed up and he looked at me strangely, his eyebrows furrowed.

"I would. I mean, I think a modern day version of him would be sexy. He'd rock a man bun." I thought about it in my head and I agreed with my words.

"You sound like a kinky church lady." We both laughed loudly and in sync.

"Have you met many of them?"

"Yeah, they all want me." He winked and raised one of his eyebrows. "Just like you."

I wrapped the bed sheet around my body and got up out of the bed, making my way over to my case. I bent down and began to root through it looking for the wedding gift that Ross and Courtney had given us.

A Polaroid camera.

"What are you doing?" He asked as I stood up straight again and walked back towards the bed.

"I wanna take some pictures." I smiled, jumping onto him and getting back under the thicker covers.

"Why." His voice turned whiny.

"Because, if you don't take a picture, soon enough, the moment won't exist and I want to remember all of our moments." He grinned and pulled me forwards so our lips met.

"That's cute. Very cute."

I pulled the cover over us so we were underneath it, it was dark but there was still enough light from the bottom of the bed were the cover wasn't completely down and covering the bed. Our bodies were pressed together and I lifted the camera up the where our faces were. It clicked and after a few seconds the photo came out. It was dark but cute. We took a few more pictures with different faces.

"Now we'll always remember the conversation on our honeymoon where you acted like a kinky church lady." I laughed loudly as we continued to cuddle.

"So" I said looking at the old building with my head cocked to the side. "Why is it actually, leaning?" I asked Rocky as we both stood side by side looking at the leaning tower of Pisa. It was amazing, there was no denying that; but as I was stood there the beautiful white pillars and construction didn't over power the fact that it was tilting an awful lot. I had obviously knew about it but I hadn't expected the tilt to be so prominent.

"Maybe they built it wrong. Or it fell." He shrugged looking at it with the same crease in his eyebrows as me.

"Why don't you ask that man." I pointed to the middle aged man who clearly worked with a tour group of on the monument because of his uniform.

"Why me?" I looked at him and widened my eyes.

"You wouldn't want your innocent wife to go up to a stranger who could kidnap her." He chuckled slightly and took my hand leading me over the to man.

"Hello." Rocky smiled.

"Hello, you two look happy." The man smiled back nicely.

"Honeymoon." I informed him.

"Oh, what have you seen so far?" He spoke of the famous Italian monuments.

"Erm, Spanish steps, trevi fountain, colosseum, Sistine chapel, some churches and the Vatican City." I counted off the places we had visited on my fingers.

"Well, I'd recommend you go for a boat ride on the Costa smeralda, lake Garda, lake como or the grand canal. Very romantic."

Rocky nodded. "We'll definitely look into that, thank you."

"What can I help you with?"

"We were just wondering why the tower is leaning." I asked him. He nodded.

"A much asked question. When it was built there was a faulty foundation so it started to tilt and then as it was being finished it began to tilt more. It has been modified since the last century though so the tilt isn't as bad as it used to be."He nodded as he spoke and moved his hand about in a gesturing way. He seemed so passionate about the building and it's structure, he must of loved his job. We spoke to him a while longer before walking away from him holding hands, like we so often did.

The sky was a dark blue matching the colour of the water beneath us. The buildings and port around us as we sailed farther down were lit up and truly breathtaking. Even with the slight chill Rocky's arms that were wrapped around me filled me with a loving warmth. We had took the tour guides advice and we had organised a boat ride on the grand canal in Venice. It was completely breathtaking.

"That was one of the most perfect things that I have ever seen." I said as we walked back into the hotel room. It was our last night and I was actually quite sad to be leaving Italy but I was happy to see our family.

"It comes second to you." Rocky said pushing a piece of hair behind my ear. My breathing hitched and my heart beat began to accelerate like it always did when he touched me.

"You're way too cheesy, Lynch." I whispered with a playful smile which he returned.

"You bring it out of me baby." We both laughed lowly as he leaned forward and our lips met slowly and passionately. We moved against each other perfectly, like we always had, like we always would. We moved back together as I grabbed to hem of his top and lifted it over his head, messing up his hair which he had spent at least fifteen minutes making sure looked good before we left the hotel room previously. I ran my hands over his chest as we fell onto the bed together, making the most of the romantic honeymoon suite.
