Brayden

It's been a day since Owen got into the car accident. He's doing a lot better, but he's still at the hospital because his concussion is more severe than they originally thought. The doctor said that he could probably come home today. Mom, dad, Olive, and I stayed for awhile last night and I don't think that Carly has even left. This morning I texted Hattie to see how she was doing and she said that she didn't leave the hospital last night.
I would've gone this morning to see him, but I had a film club meeting all day that I couldn't miss, considering that I was the president. It was about out upcoming project, the genre of horror movies. We were studying people like James Wan and Rob Zombie, two of the most influential horror movie creators in the history of horror.
Olive's boyfriend is coming over today and I'm totally pissed about it. Since they are going to the hospital, mom and dad are just letting her stay home alone with him like it's the most natural thing in the world. When I started dating Hattie two years ago, they didn't let me do that. They said that we had to be supervised by at least one adult whenever we were together, same with Owen and Carly. It's totally unfair, and I would've said something, but I had this meeting first thing, so I had to rush out of the house.
"Brayden? Do you agree?" asked Emily, one of the girls in film club.
"What?" I asked clearing my thoughts.
"Do you agree that we should do a paranormal movie for our project?" she asked like it was obvious. Well, it probably was, but I was spacing out.
"That's so overdone. We need something that's completely out of the box," chimed in Zak.
"That's true. We need something different," agreed Percy.
Percy is my best friend, even though he's Hattie's brother. We were friends before she and I started dating. Hattie and Percy are twins, but you wouldn't know it by looking at them. Hattie is so smart and not really athletic, while Percy is very athletic and moderately smart. I think that his real talent is in film, but he doesn't believe me.
"What do you suggest then Percy?" Emily asked agitated.
"We should do something with a psychopathic teen, boy or girl, it doesn't matter," he said confidently.
"Ooh, that's a good idea," said Seth, the vice president of the club. He began to write it down with lots of enthusiasm.
"That's so cliche though," Sarah said. She was kind of the downer of the group.
"How is it cliche?" Percy asked.
"I don't know, it just is," she said back.
"Okay, okay. All in favor of the psychopathic teenager, raise your hand," I said quietly everyone down.
There were fourteen people in the club and nine of them raised their hands for yes. Whew! I was glad that the vote wasn't split, or else we would need a new idea, and the deadline was approaching fast.
"Great!" I said, "Now let's get down to business."
I started assigning who would be in charge of what and when we would meet to start the filming. The filming was to be started by this Wednesday after school and we had two weeks to finish it. It was a tight deadline, but we've had tighter ones, so it should be fine.
"Well, see you all tomorrow," I said, ending the meeting.
As the members were filing out, Percy stayed behind with me to help clean up.
"So, how's it going?" he asked when we were alone.
"Pretty good, Owen's doing a lot better, and he should be coming home today," I said, "How about you?"
