Chapter 7

A/N: In this chapter, Olive will talk about what happened to her before and after the accident. Also, I'm not going to write about her breaking down when she sees Owen because I've already written about that two times. Thanks for reading!

Well, today was a good day, up until right after dinner. After Owen and I did the dishes and he blackmailed me I knew that mom and dad wanted to talk to him, so I stayed at the bottom of the stairs to listen. I heard Owen yell at mom and dad and then a door slammed, so I knew that he left. After that, I just went into my room and laid down on my bed, grabbed my earbuds, and turned on Charlie Puth's newest song "One Call Away." I also texted Ethan because I really needed someone to talk to. After a little bit, he answered.

Hey, is everything okay?

Ya, ig so

Olive, I know you better than that. What's wrong?

Owen knows that you've been over here before and he threatened to tell my mom and dad if I didn't rat him out. And they just got into a huge fight and Owen stormed out

Oh, I'm sorry. How does he know? And what were you gonna rat him out on?

Idk how he knows and I already had ratted him out before he and my parents got into the fight, so now he's probs mad at me too and he's probably gonna tell and I'm just freaking out basically

Just calm down, I'm sure that everything is gonna be okay. Are we still on for tomorrow?

Ya, as far as I know

That was that last text I sent before I got the news. The song was over so I took out my earbuds and heard some loud talking down stairs.

"Olive! Get down here! We have to go to Overton Med!" mom yelled from the bottom of the stairs. 

Why do we have to go to Overton? What happened? I thought to myself as I grabbed my shoes and jacket and ran down the stairs.

"Why are we going to Overton?" I asked when I got down there, sitting on the stairs to put on my shoes.

"Owen got into a car accident!" mom exclaimed as she was putting on her shoes.

"Oh my gosh! Is he okay?" I asked standing up.

"That's why we're going to Overton!" dad snapped.

He was already out the door and mom wasn't far behind. I was last so I had to lock the door. After that, I sprinted to the car and pulled out my phone to tell Ethan. When I got in the car, I think mom was on the phone with Brayden, but I don't remember. I dialed Ethan's number and after, like, half a ring, he picked up.

"Olive? Is everything alright?" he asked.

"No! Owen got into a car accident!" I told him. I knew that his older brother Andy was close to Owen, so I thought he should know.

"Oh my gosh! Is he okay?" he asked. He sounded like he was moving around.

"I don't know yet. We're going to Overton right now to see," I explained. I heard him yell to someone that Owen got into an accident.

"Okay, I'll be right there," he said then he hung up. I honestly wasn't expecting him to come, I just thought he should know.

We had just pulled up to Overton Med and I got an uneasy feeling. Something bad happened. Dad had barely turned off the car when mom and I got out and ran towards the door.
