Prologue

Nelly's POV

Hello my name is Nelly!

I'm 5'5
African American
I guess you can say I have shoulder length natural hair so I usually were it in Bantu nots, high puff or Twist outs.
An I'm 16!!

Nelly's POV

BANG, BANG, BANGG

I instantly jump out of my bed at the loud sound I just heard at my door!

"Nelly wake up you gotta get ready for school!" Screamed my lovely mother from the other side of the door. I groan loudly when I noticed she couldn't heard me, because my mom is crazy.
I make my bed, then walk to the bathroom and do my daily hygiene. Then I go to my dresser and pick out an outfit for the day which consist of skinny jeans, a white t-shirt and a blue jean jacket with some white Air Force 1s.

Then I grab my book-bag and wallet and jet down the stairs where my mom is waiting for me with my little brother Michael. I run to the cabinet and grab two granola bars and a juice box and walk to my mom and brother and kiss them both and tell them bye, when my mom yells."Nelly, you want me to pick you up from school today!" And I reply "Yes please!" Then dart out the door to the bus stop.

When the bus finally gets here as usual everyone looks at me like I'm freakin Medusa or something. So you know what I do? I look at them joes back until the look away and I sit down. When I get to the school I immediately go to my locker and get my books and head for class. So as you can tell I have basically no friends, which I'm ok with, so I walk to class alone and just sit there until class starts.

When all the students finally arrive to class and settle down, the door suddenly opens and a boy with brown hair with a dash of blonde walks in and as usual everyone stares at him like he's some kind of foreign animal.

Then our teacher, Ms. Summers speaks up and say,"You must be the new student.... Grayson right?" He nods and she continues saying,"Great! Nice to meet you. Would you like to introduce yourself?" He saids, "Sure... Umm my name is Grayson Dolan, and I'm from New Jersey, nice to meet you guys."

''Hi!" We all say in unison. Our teacher smiles and say,"Great! Why don't you sit riiight...... there." She points to a seat next to me...perks of having no friends, you sit by yourself..... Grayson looks at me for like 50 seconds then walks over to the seat next to me with an innocent grin...

Oh boy...
