Chapter 10

Grayson's POV

She smiles and saids,"Depends on where we go?" I say,"I'll give you a hint. This place is fast and thrilling." She saids,"Sky diving?!" I chuckle and peck her lips, then say,"Try again." She thinks for a while, then say,"Drag Racing!!" I smile and say,"Winner, winner, chicken dinner!" She starts laughing, then gets off of my lap and saids,"Woo! Let's go!" I chuckle and say,"Okay. Can you help me up though?" She raises her perfectly arched eyebrow then saids,"Okayy.." She pulls my arm and I pull her arm down to me, so now she on top of me. Right where she belongs. She try's to get back up, but I only pull her closer and say,"You have to kiss me to get up." She groans then pecks my lips, and try's to get up. I say,"Where do you think your going. Your not going anywhere til you give me a real kiss." She grunts loudly then kisses me fast trying to get it over with, so I take control of the kiss and slow it down. Once I'm satisfied, I help her off of me and say,"That was much better." She rolls her eyes and say,"Your lucky I love you." It felt good hearing her say that. I just smack her butt, making her run after me, so I quickly run down stairs and grab my shoes and the keys, and we head to the car dealership from earlier to get my car.

Once we have my car, Nelly drives in the rented one, following close behind me, and we head to the raceway.

When we pull up to the front, some guy comes up to my car and I roll down my window,"You racin' today?" I say,"Yeah. Me and my girlfriend behind me." He then saids,"Okay great. Just pull around to the back and we'll getcha all set up, and you can pay me back there. Okay?" I nod and say,"Alright." He nods then walks into the building. Me and her pull around the back and park our cars, then walk into the building hand in hand. The guy from earlier saids,"Right this way."..

Once we get all the paper signed and money paid, we walk back to our cars and drive in front of the starting marks. I park my car and walk over to Nelly's car and tell her to step out. She gets out and I pull her by her waist, into me and say,"Ready to lose princess." She laughs sarcastically and saids,"Are ready to lose prince?" I start blushing and say,"We'll see about that baby girl." I position her up against the car and kiss her deeply making her run her fingers through my hair, driving me crazy. I pull back slowly and say,"I better stop before I cant control myself." She laughs the pulls away from my grip, getting in her car saying,"I guess you can say I'm driving you crazy." I chuckle and smile, then peck her lips and whisper in her ear,"Yes, yes you are driving me crazy, crazy in love." I nibble on her ear a little then get in my car leaving her shocked. Let the race begin...........

Once the race was over Nelly lost and of course wanted a rematch, which she lost and asked for another one, she won that one, and we drove back to her house and see that Valentino and Michael were back.  We get out and walk in. As soon as we walk in her dad comes up to us and say,"Where in the world have y'all been?" Nelly saids,"I left y'all a note on the counter saying we were going drag racing.." He sighs and saids,"Oh I'm sorry baby girl. Did y'all have fun." I say,"We sure did. Nelly was the most excited though." We all laugh and he goes back into the living room with her brothers. Her mom yells from the kitchen,"Dinner is readyy!!" We wash up then sit at the table. Then Nelly's mom saids grace,"Lord God first I want to thank you for bringing  my son and husband back and all of us sitting here together as a family. I ask that you continue to bless us in our daily life's. Let this food be healing and nurturing to our bodies Lord God. These and other things we ask I'm your son Jesus name Amen." We all say amen then dig in. Her mom made, collared greens, fried chicken, potato salad, corn bread and boy bread(If you don't know what that is, it's just larger pancake style corn bread.) corn, sweet potatoes, rice and beans, and a welcome back cake. Wow. I had all of that. It was so good. Nelly kept on putting hot sauce on her collard greens, it looked so nasty. An when I asked her 'why was she putting hot sauce on her collard greens' she said 'that's how you enjoy a nice southern meal'. The whole dinner, eating with her family was great! We all engaged in great conversation. I learned that her dad is the comedian in the family. Literally almost everything he said had me almost choking on my food!
