The next morning...

Grayson's POV

I wake up to the annoying sound of birds chirping, and notice that I don't feel my angel next to me! I look around the backyard and don't see her anywhere!

I walk into the house and see Ethan at the bar eating some cereal while on his phone. I say,"Ethan have you seen Nelly?" I hope she didn't leave yet. He saids,"What? No good morning Ethan?She's in your bathroom." Relief washes over me and I quickly thank him then make my way up the stairs towards my bathroom.

I stop when I reach the door, it sounds like she's on the phone with someone..

"Yes mom I'm sorry for not calling you, I just got caught up and I lost track of t-" Nelly was cut off by her mom on the other end of the phone yelling. Nelly's voice was heartbreaking, she sounded like she was crying.

"Ma I promise I won't do it again, please don't do this to me." She saids in a weak voice. My poor baby. I want to go in there so bad but I don't want her to get mad.

"Okay.....Iight...*sigh*... Okay I got it ma.....bye." Once she hangs up the phone a open the door and see her face with tears running down her cheeks. She looks up at me and cries softly in her hands. I pull her into my chest and rub her back because she usually calms down when I do that. I say,"What's going on baby girl? Why are you crying?" She pulls away and wipe her tears with the back of her hand cause me to move her hand and wipe them myself.

She saids,"My mom got mad that I didn't call and tell her that I was spending the night here and that I didn't pick up the phone when she called. Then she started getting dramatic and saying that me and you needed to take a break! Like what?!" I was taking in everything Nelly had said. I'm not leaving Nelly again. No matter what anybody else saids. I don't care who it is, it's not happening.

She continues on with her rant,"And and she said that today is the only day we get to be with each other. We can only see each other once a week! That's ludicrous!!" I say,"Nelly baby calm down. We're not taking a 'break'. Your mom's just overreacting okay? I'm sure sooner or later she'll realize how hard she was being on you. Don't worry princess." She nods and sighs while running a hand through her curls. Absolutely adorable.

I grab her hand and we walk downstairs. Ethan saids,"Is everything alright?" Nelly saids, while sitting on a bar stool,"Yeah everything's fine." He nods and I walk to the fridge and pull out some eggs, bacon and bread, then turn on the stove. Nelly saids,"So what y'all trynna do today?"

I say, while stirring up the eggs,"I was thinking we can all go to the mall." Nelly saids,"Which one?" I say,"Cumberland." She nods and Ethan saids,"Who's driving, because I know I'm not?" I groan and say,"Well you won't be getting any breakfast then-" he interrupts me saying,"Alright Alright I'll drive." I say,"That's what I thought." And continue cooking.

As I'm cooking I feel soft small arms wrap around my waist and know it's Nelly right off the back. She saids,"I didn't know you could cook Gray." I say,"There's a lot you don't know about me princess." She giggles and I turn around and put my hands on her waist then say,"Your so adorable baby girl."

She blushes and say,"Thank you baby.." I lean down to kiss her and she mets me half way, so I just pick her up and she giggles again saying,"Grayson put me down, and finish cooking before you burn your house down." I smirk and say,"Let it burn." Ethan yells,"Welp I'm gettin the hell outta here before I die!" He starts walking to the door.

I groan and say,"Shut up Ethan and come back. I'm not gonna burn down the house." He comes back and I sit Nelly on the counter next to me so I can finish cooking.
