"Do you have a back entrance?" Dean asks, nearly knocking me over with his big breath of relief when Ivy nods.

Barrett's face lights up as if he has an idea, and then jumps over the glass counter. He takes a long sword that is encased in a hard sheath out of the back of the glass case and jumps back over the counter. Jogging to the door, he slides the sword into the door handle so it won't be able to be opened from the outside.

His determined expression turns into an accomplished one, as he makes his way back over to us. Leaving the pile of melted metal parts and ashes, Gary joins us, confused as Ivy lays out a plan.

"You three need to get out of here... You have your weapons, so now you are set." Ivy explains, gesturing to the door as she continues, "Through that door should be a short hallway with other doors, but if you just head straight down it, you'll end up outside after opening the door at the end of the hall."

"What about you?" I ask Ivy, and then glance at Gary who hasn't spoken a word, "And Gary?"

"We can fend off the government agents..." Ivy reassures me, giving me a half-smile, "They won't want to kill us... And if they try to take us, they won't be able to."

   "Why wouldn't they-"

A fist pounds hard against the tinted glass entrance, a stern voice following the harsh sound, "Hello? Is anyone in there?"

Even though all of our heads jolt toward the doors, Ivy doesn't seem fazed by the sudden appearance of what no doubt is the government. She touches my arm with her fingers. When I turn my head to look at her, her mint eyes twinkle, "If I don't see you again... It was really glad to meet you..." She gives me a full smile as she continues to whisper, revealing her beautiful straight white teeth, "And don't let that boy get away... He looks like a keeper."

"Hello?" The voice booms from the other side of the door, "Okay, enough of this playing around... We are the police and are going to break down this door of you don't open it!"

"Go." Ivy mouths to me as Dean and Barrett already head for the door.

I give Ivy my most thankful smile, and then rush to follow behind the guys. Barrett leaves the room before Dean or I do, leaving Dean to hold the door open for me.

Thanking him, I step inside the hallway, hearing Ivy tell the man on the other side, "Hold on one second, I just need to put something away and I'll be right there..."

Dean closes the door behind me, brushing his fingers nervously through his dirty blonde hair, "Where are we gonna go Barrett?"

"Just follow me." He replies from ahead of us as he opens the door, sunlight filtering in the narrow hallway.

"What if you disappear on us like last time?" Dean asks, a little irritation in his tone as his hand blocks the sunlight from shining into his eyes.

"I won't." He assures us as we shut the door behind us and enter the back alleyway. To the left is the bustling street, and to the right is a few dumpsters in between us and another busy street.

Barrett contemplates the direction to go for a moment, hesitating when he turns to the left, "Which side do you think the government parked on?" He asks us.

A gunshot sounds from inside the shop, making us all jump. Following behind that sound booms more bullets.

"I don't know, but we need to get out of here!" Dean tells Barrett, turning up the speed of my heartbeat.

We start running to the right, me bringing up the caboose. When we reach the dumpsters though, we hear the back door of the place bust open.

We all dodge out of sight and behind the two dumpsters on opposite sides. Barrett and Dean press their bodies against the wall, both facing me from the other side of the alleyway.
