chapter two

"Katie, this is Dr. Cullen. he's been my doctor for years now" Charlie told me.

my heart monitor was still racing. I looked back up at the beautiful man. he didn't seem to notice anything.

"hi Katie, how are you feeling?" the doctor said to me, with a smile.

my heart melted. "um I'm doing fine."

dr.cullen then, began to do a checkup and wrote thing down on a piece of paper. once he was finished, he looked back up to me with a concerned look.

"your dad says that you saw a 'bear' running in the woods?" he asked me.

I nodded my head yes, "I don't know if it was or not."

Carlisle looked worried and then looked at Charlie. he said something about me, possibly having a concussion.

how could I possibly have a concussion? I didn't do anything but get a cut. obviously this doctor was wrong.

"we're going to have you stay over night just to make sure everything's okay. Charlie, you don't have to stay if you don't want to. I can take care of her" he said and looked at me with a smirk.

my heart jumped. how could this be? I never feel this way about guys. although this wasn't just a guy. he was literally perfection.
I was a little upset that I had to stay overnight in this hospital, but then again, if I get to see this doctor, then all is well.

Charlie stayed a little longer then he ran home to get me my phone and some food. he finally left for good and I was stuck, alone, in this hospital room.
an hour passed and I was just flipping through my phone when I heard the room door open, then close. I looked up and saw dr.cullen walk over to my bed. he sat down at the foot of the hospital bed and just smiled.

"how are you feeling?" he finally said.

"like I did before. fine" I smiled looking into his gorgeous eyes.

"well that's good." I looked into my eyes.

a silence grew in the room and he finally stood up. he walked over to the door without saying a word.
just before leaving the room he turned around and looked at me.

"ya know.. maybe you don't have a concussion. maybe I just kept you here overnight so I can look at you more" he smirked, then winked as he left the room.

the door shut as my heart monitor raced to the max.
woahh. what did he just say? I was flipping out, as my heart pounded in my chest.

I sat back in the bed and entered my thoughts. I actually had a thing for this doctor. and the best part was that he looks like he's almost my age. I'm 22 and he looks like he's in his 20's. I smiled to myself.

It was about 9:30 and I was still awake. I saw Dr. Cullen pass my door a few times, so I know he's still around.
I thought that since he's "flirting" then I should flirt back.
I looked around and saw a white button that had a label on it that read pager. I picked it up and clicked the button about 3 times. seconds later, Dr.Carlisle bursted through the door in a worry. I about jumped from my bed because I was so startled.

"oh my.. Katie I thought there was something wrong" he threw his head back, in relief.

"there isss something wrong" I tried my best to sound as if I was in pain.

"and that is?.." he smiled partially.

"I'm so boredddd. dr. Cullen I have nothing to doo" I whined.

he laughed cutely. I was in awe. he slowly walked across the room, to a nightstand. he pulled the drawer out, and grabbed a deck of cards. he smiled and walked over to my bed.

I sat up happily and smiled at him, as he sat down on my bed. I watched as he pulled the cards out of the box and handed me a few and we began a game of go-fish.

"so. tell me about yourself." he broke the silence and looked up at me.

"well, there's not much to tell. I moved to Forks because my mom thinks I don't spend enough time with Charlie. I'm 22 and I'm training to become a veterinarian at the moment." I smiled "how about you dr. Cullen?"

"well first of all, you can call me Carlisle. and I've lived in Forks for a very very long time. I'm a single dad, and I worked at this hospital" he laughed.

"woah you're a dad? you have kids?" I started to worry.

"well technically. I adopted. I have 5 adopted children. but I treat them as if they are my own" he gave me a soft smile.

I smiled back at him. It was nice that he does that for those kids. they're all very lucky to have him especially.

"so Carlisle what time do you think I can get out of here?" I asked him.

he looked up from his cards and into my eyes. "well 10:30 at the latest. I have to give you one last checkup before you leave"

we played cards and talked for about 2 hours until he finally left. Carlisle was a great guy and I'm starting to like him more and more once I got to know him.

I finally decided to get some sleep. I had the best dreams that night. I have a feeling this won't be the last time I see dr.cullen.

well there you go! this chapter isn't very good. I kindve rushed through it so I could get it done. I might make one more tonight since it's Christmas Eve! but if I don't.. MERRY CHRISTMAS! 💓💓💓💓💓💓💓💓💓💓💓💓
