chapter eleven

I woke up around 10:30 this morning. I was planning on waking up earlier but I stayed up late last night, thinking about today. I was going to meet Carlisle's family. I got up from my bed and took a shower. when I got out, I looked through my closet for an outfit to wear.

I picked out my best pair of skinny jeans and a cute, blue blouse. I put the clothes on and slipped on some clean black converse.
next, I went into the bathroom and blow dried my hair. I straightened it then put on some makeup. I was finally done an hour later. I still had a half hour to spare.

I went downstairs and ate some left over spaghetti. I knew Carlisle didn't eat , so I made sure I ate before I left. Charlie was off for the day, so he was watching football in the other room.
I walked in and sat next to him.

"you look pretty Kate." charlie looked at me.

I smiled at him "thank you. please be nice to Carlisle dad."

he chuckled to himself "he's my doctor. I gotta be nice"

I laughed and watched the game with him. the half hour came too soon. there was suddenly a knock at the door. Charlie sat up as I stood to go answer the door.

I opened up the front door and a well dressed Carlisle appeared in the doorway smiling.

"you look wonderful Katie" he smiled

I smiled and back up, letting him inside. he followed me to the living room where Charlie was now standing.

"hello charlie. this is probably very awkward for you." Carlisle laughed quietly yet nervously.

Charlie laughed as well "hi dr.cullen. yes it's kindve weird but you're a good guy so I'm glad Katie's with ya"

I smiled at the result of this. they were actually getting along.

"so I'm going to be taking katie to my house, so she can finally meet my children. is that alright with you?" Carlisle asked Charlie.

Charlie shook his head yes and they talked for a while longer. they finally shook hands and Carlisle and I walked out the door.

"well that went better than expected" I said laughing.

Carlisle opened the passenger door for me and I climbed in. he got in the drivers seat and began to drive down the road.

"so you said each of you have a special 'power'. what's everybody else's?" i asked him, trying to start a conversation.

"well.. Alice, my youngest daughter, can see into the future. Edward can read minds, emmet has a super strong ability, Rosalie has a beauty power, and jasper can detect people's emotions and change their emotions as well." he told me each of his kids abilities.

we finally got to his house and boy was I surprised. he lived in a mansion. of course he was rich, he's a doctor. I got out of the car, staring at his humongous house. Carlisle laughed at my facial expression.

I followed him to his front door and inside. a very jumpy girl ran towards me.

"hi! you must be Katie! I'm Alice!" Alice smiled at me and hugged me. I hugged back. I think I'm gonna like her.

behind her was a male that was pretty good looking. he had a look on his face like he was in pain.

"this is jasper. he isn't really used to being around humans." Carlisle answered question.

"I'm Emmett" a very buff boy smiled to me.

next to him was a gorgeous blonde, looking like she was annoyed with me. what did I do? I just got here.

"that's Rosalie." Alice informed me.

"I can speak for myself Alice" the blonde remarked.

I looked around the room. it was huge and very fancy.

boy would I love to spend some alone time in this house with carlisle. I thought.

"hi I'm Edward, and..my siblings and I are going hunting so yes, you get some alone time." the last boy said to.

"crap I forgot. Carlisle told me you can read minds." I smiled embarrassed.

I watched as Edward walked over to Carlisle and whispered something in his ear before leaving. Carlisle's face lit up. he looks down at the floor, smiling like he was embarrassed as well. what did that boy tell him.

the rest of the family left, leaving Carlisle and I standing in the living room in silence.

"so you wanted to spend some alone time?" Carlisle looked up smirking.

"oh god he told you?" I started to blush.

Carlisle walked towards me slowly, still smirking. I decided to play along, and play hard to get.

Carlisle slowly leaned in as if he was about to kiss me, when I started to walk away "so. show me around."

he smiled, realizing what I was going.

"that's the couch, upstairs is the bedrooms, in there is the kitchen and in here.." he started to walk towards a door.

I followed him inside. there was a black desk sitting by a window and a bunch of papers all over it.

"this is my office." he told me.

I looked around. two hands suddenly, were placed on my hips. I jumped by surprise and turned around. there was Carlisle, 4 inches from my face, smirking.

I leaned in and pecked his lips, softly. his hands were still on my hips as he quickly lifted me up off the ground. my legs wrapped around his waist. he had on hand on my lower back and used the other to push all of his papers onto the floor. he sat me down on the desk as he began to kiss me roughly, and passionately. I kissed back, eager for more.

my hands were now placed in his hair, going all over the place. we were having a full blown, make out session when we heard a voice.

"Carlisle? Katie?" it was Alice.

we quickly pulled apart and stood up. we ran out into the living room.

"oh! there you are!" Alice smiled and looked our direction. her smile suddenly faded.

i heard jasper laugh to himself.

"what?" Carlisle asked, curious as to what everyone was laughing about.

"do you wanna borrow my brush Carlisle?" Rosalie laughed and rolled her eyes.

Carlisle walked over to the mirror that was hanging on the wall.

"oh.." he said embarrassed.

his hair was all over the place. it was nowhere near as neat as it was before. plus he had a little bit of lipstick smeared on his upper lip. my face was beat red.

"last time we leave you two alone." Edward laughed as he walked up the stairs.

everyone else soon began to laugh as Carlisle and I stood there , very embarrassed in ourselves.
