The Escape [ABLH]

Chapter 26

"IT'S CHRISTMAS EVE!!!" Luke screamed running into my room.

"Emma we're going to have dinner at my mum's place tonight," Luke said calmly before leaving.

I sighed, I have to get ready then. I reached under the bed, and reached for the gifts I've got for Luke's mum, his two brothers, and his dad.

Luke peaked his head in, "I'm going out for a bit. If you get lonely just call Jake and Maja over alright?"

I hummed in response.

"Wait! Could you get me some pop tarts?" I asked him with pleading eyes. He sighed, but said fine under his breath.

That'll take him awhile.

I searched for my phone, and called Maja and Jame over. Now they are on their way. I hope.

It's been forever since I saw them!

I rushed downstairs, and opened the door almost slamming the door knob on the wall behind the door.

I smiled at them, and hugged them both.

"I missed you guys, it's been forever!" I exclaimed.

"Oh, here," Maja handed me a gift, " I'm not going to be able to give this to you tomorrow. I have a family dinner out of town." She sighed.

I smiled, "Thanks. I also have something for you." I said.

I walked to the guest room, and handed her gift. I sat back down on my bed.

"Open it!" Maja and I said simultaneously.

Jake burst out laughing, almost falling off the bed.

"Alright," we said it at the same time again.

Jake has officially fell off the bed.

Maja stayed quiet, and so did I.

She quietly opened her gift. A smile appeared on her face, and she lunges at me.

"Thank you!" I got her a small little rectangle decoration thingy. It says 'Best Friends don't judge each other. They judge other people together' it's real nice.

I also got her some of the boys merchandise. A beanie,  Ash's famous signature crop top, and Calum's shirt.

And my favorite, a heart divided into three.

Maja was almost in tears.

Jake was excited to wear the necklace. He was over joyed.

They stayed until lunch, and had to leave. Now I am getting ready for the dinner in Luke's mum's place. I had their gifts on my bed.

It was about five in the afternoon when Luke came in.

"Let's go Em," he walked off, carrying some presents. When did he wrap them?

Once we arrived there,  Luke's mum never met me. So she hugged me tightly, and said I had a keeper.  I looked at her confused.

"Oh, no. His not my boyfriend." I said.

"Hi mum," Luke said, after he got his stuff from the boot (trunk).

"Luke, I didn't know you were bringing a friend." She said.

"Oh, she's— um— my um— daughter." Luke said stuttering.

"Oh! She's the Emma you were talking about?!" She squealed. "She looks adorable!" I blushed.

Luke sighed in relief.

When Luke's brothers arrived, we all went and ate dinner. It was really good.

It was my turn to get my gifts. First box was from Luke. I saw him carry this box when he came home when he went 'out'.

I looked at him suspiciously.

I opened to lid of the box, and something jumped out. I screamed, and covered my eyes. I felt something scratched my onesies.

Yes. Luke made me go on a penguin onesies. Though I have clothing underneath.

I peaked, and saw Robin. I squealed, hugging him.

They laughed at my weirdness.

Ben got me a gift card, not knowing what to get me. Since Luke didn't described me to him too well, making him think I was a toddler.

Jack, in the other hand, thought I was Luke's girlfriend. I don't know how Luke described me to him. He got me band tees, a charm necklace, and a gift card.

From him mum and dad I got more onesies, because they wanted a picture of me wearing them. I also got a movie night kit. There was a popcorn bucket, popcorn, chocolate, movies, and a soft blanket.

It was nearly midnight when Luke carried me to the car, and left for home. There was only one thing in my mind.

Tomorrow is Christmas.
