This is the new version, but most of this story is still the same, only written better. I will be redoing each chapter, so don't get too confused if it's confusing please. Hope you like it.

Get up! It's almost noon!" bellowed Hugo, her annoying brother from the other side of the door.

It felt like it was only seven in the morning, but the midday sun had already made its way into her room. The night before she had planned to hide in her room or sleep all day and ignore everyone else. Rose usually wasn't this lazy on a normal daily basis. It was just that Albus had to bring his friend Scorpius Malfoy with him to her family's house for who knows what reason. Her favorite cousin had to be in Slytherin. Though Slytherins these days were different, there were only a few bad apples in the basket. Albus had said that he chose that house on his own free will. No matter how much Rose had pestered him, trying to discover the reason for why he wanted to be in Slytherin had remained unsolved. What happened next was even more of a shock to the family. What some of her other relatives had suspected that Scorpius had somehow tricked or poisoned Albus to be friends with him. It was a very ridiculous idea that probably never happened, but some of their theories were hard not to believe.

Since she didn't have a choice really on wether she could get up or not, Rose decided to wear her new designer scarf that her aunt Fleur had bought for her birthday. It would go perfectly with that green blouse. Rose quickly dressed and flopped on her neatly made bed with a book in hand.

"Are you dead? Get up!" Hugo yelled. He shot through the door and stood waiting with a stupid look on his face.

Hugo rolled his eyes at her behavior, "You hate reading. I know you well enough that you hate words for that matter. You can't fool me Rosie sister."

She got up and reached for her neck scarf that was wrapped around her bedpost. Hugo's eyes drifted to where she had glanced. There was a small spark between them for a millisecond before they were lunging for the scarf. Last year at Hogwarts Hugo was the Gyrffindor keeper, so his reflexes were slightly more in tune than Rose's. He took off down the stairs and out to the yard.

Rose quickly slipped on a random pair of shoes and scrambled down the stairs. Her mum was cooking lunch and offered her some breakfast, but Rose passed her by to catch up to Hugo. As so as Rose made it outside her eyes caught the back of Hugo turning and heading inside the broom shed. He was already mounted and in the sky by the time she crossed the yard and scanned the broom shed for him.

"Hugo, you prat!"

Aunt Fleur would not be very pleased if she found out that Rose had irresponsibly allowed Hugo to destroy and use the delicate scarf as a toy without her trying to stop him. Not know what to do, Rose paced the broom shed for three seconds and then started toward a broom that didn't look too rickety unlike the rest of them. Let's just say that Rose wasn't a popular quidditch star like James or Lily or Hugo. That was a major flaw in her plan to reach Hugo.

Rose's dad had tried to teach her how to ride a broom when she was young. She remembered breaking an arm in the process. Brooms weren't her thing, but she had to get the scarf back. Rose mounted the broom and kicked off. It took a split second to reach the heights at which Hugo was floating. The sudden jerk forward and up had winded the breath from her. Brooms these days were so much faster and more advanced than they were in her father's time.

Hugo was smirking at her attempt to fly as she jerkingly made her way towards him. His smirk slid off his face in an instant for some reason.

"Get over here!" Hugo ordered her. "That's the trick broom! James helped me design it last time they came over! We weren't allowed to test it out because mom found it and threw it out. I retrieved it from the trash, and if it works correctly-"
