"Let go of me mudblood!" Draco yelled.

"Stop calling her a you know what!" bellowed Ron.

Ron aimed a punch at Draco but missed when he got loose of Hermione's grip. Madam Pomfrey came bustling in and warning the adults if they didn't dial it down they would all be kicked out.

"Rose, you may leave when you feel," said madam Pomfrey as she finished examining her.

"I can call her whatever I want, mudblood, mudblood, mudblood!" Draco spat.

"You childish idiot!" Hermione screamed at his father slapping him hard on the cheek that left a red mark .

It was like they totally forgot about Rose and him when Rose shouted over the adults ramble, "Will you please stop!

Your acting like little children!"

They all stopped fighting and listened to Rose.

"If he didn't love me why did he catch me last summer? I would probably be dead! He would never break my heart!" Rose finished getting up and out of bed but fell because her legs were still a numb. Scorpius caught her by the arms, getting surprised looks from the adults, and escorted her out.

"Thanks," said Rose.

"It's fine, they were really getting annoying, I've been listening to them for hours."

"Where're we going?" Rose asked curiously.

"I'm taking you back to the Gryffindor common room, you've had a long had."

They arrived at the portrait and Rose whispered the pass word so he couldn't hear, and turned to leave, but before, she spun around and kissed him on the cheek. Scorpius grinned like a stupid maniac for a second once she had gone though the portrait.

"You know I haven't seen a Slytherin and a Gryffindor together for decades," said the fat lady as he walked away.

Scorpius turned around and looked at the fat lady, now interested.

"Lily Evans and Severus Snape, but then I heard that it didn't work out. Lily ended up marrying James Potter, and Snape still hadn't stopped loving Lily. He worked as a professor at Hogwarts, but I'm pretty sure he died during the battle of Hogwarts.

Scorpius was very interested but didn't show it and continued on his way. The story was familiar, his father told him

it before when he was little. Was he and Rose the only people after them from opposite houses? But he was going to

make sure this relationship worked out. Scorpius had never felt this way towards a girl in his life.

Rose woke up and went down to the hall just in time for the owl post. An owl swooped down and landed next to her,

she recognized it as her father's owl, Barney. Rose nervously opened the letter and read,

Dear Rose,

We are very sorry for our out burst last night, Ron and I have agreed to let Scorpius and you date (Ron very reluctantly).

Mr. And Mrs. Malfoy have also agreed to let you guys go out. We hope your happy with him.

Love,

Mom

And on another piece of parchment held another letter.

Dear Rose,

I'm very disappointed in you for choosing a Malfoy to go out with, but all in all have decided to let you two go out. So

have the Malfoy's too. Just owl me if he hurts you.

Love,

Dad

Rose was happy for the most part, she had to go and tell Scorpius the good news but couldn't find him any where.

Then she heard his sneering, which she hadn't heard in a while.

"Scorpius?" Rose asked walking up behind him with one of his friends.

"What do you want?" He asked coldly.

"I need to talk to you privately," Rose said.

Scorpius signaled his friends off and walked off to an empty corridor with her.

"Scorpius we can be together, our parents approved! But we won't be able to see each other until Christmas break is over." Rose said.

"Why would I want to be with a stupid Gryffindor like you?"

"What are you talking about?" she asked starting to feel hurt.

"You actually thought that I loved you? It was all just a little game that you fell for," Scorpius said nastily.

"You don't mean this," Rose said.

"Oh yeah, I do."

"Well Scorpius Hyperion Malfoy, whatever we had is through!" Rose shouted running off tears in her eyes.

Rose stormed out of Hogwarts and into an empty carriage with her trunk. When the carriage pulled into Hogsmade

she boarded the Hogwarts express with everyone else going home for Christmas break. Rose opened an empty

compartment and she dug in her trunk for a second and pulled a emerald green parcel with silver scorpions on it and

tossed it violently out the window. No need to keep Scorpius' present. Rose met Avalon and entered the train

compartment with her.

"Hey Rosie, what's wrong?"

"I don't know, Scorpius and I just broke up!" sobbed Rose.

"I'm so sorry, what happened?"

"This morning both of our parents approved of us dating, and when I went to tell him about the good news he just said

he didn't really love me and I was just a stupid Gryffindor that fell for his stupid plan," Rose said now bursting into

tears.

James, Albus, and Hugo slid the door open laughing at some joke but immediately stopped when they saw Rose's face

with Avalon over her comforting her in a sad way.

"What's wrong Rose, you look like Hugo just died. Actually that would be a good thing, just kidding. But seriously,

what's wrong?" Albus asked.

"She just broke up with Scorpius," Avalon said.

The boys all took a seat opposite of Avalon and Rose and James said, "Oh, I'm going to kill that dude! But first he owes

me twenty knuts!"

"James how could you be so inconsiderate?" Avalon asked.

"Sorry, forget that last part then."

"Why would he do that after all that fighting last night?" asked Albus.

"I don't know, it's as if he were back to his old snobby self," said Rose wiping some tears away.

"I wouldn't worry about it to much Rose, he's not worth all the trouble," said Hugo.
