"Yes he is Hugo, we even kissed."

"You what?!" the boys yelled.

"Shut up, it's not unusual for a couple," Avalon said. "I mean James and I have kissed before, so what? It's not going to
end the world."

The train pulled into a stop hours later. Rose and the rest of the Weasleys and Potters went home with her mom and dad. They would be spending part of the Christmas at their house. Rose tried to erase all the tears from her tear stained face.

"Okay guys lets go home," said Hermione.

Rose followed and noticed her dad looked a bit sulky. When they reached Rose's house all her cousins ran up stairs to unpack. Their house was pretty simple. When you walked in the stairs were on the left of the door with a bath room on the other side. And up the stairs were just stories of bed rooms. When you walk past the stairs your right in the large living room. A sliding door was at the far end of the living room that led to the back yard where they usually played quidditch. There was a door on the right of the living room once you walk in, and that led to the giant kitchen with a back door that led out into the drive way of the muggle town.

"Is everything alright Rose?" her mother asked.

"Can I trust you not to tell anyone?" asked Rose.

"Of course you can."

"Well, once I got your letter saying I could go out with Scorpius I went to tell him the good news and it was if we
never even met. I was so infuriated at him for calling me a stupid Gryffindor because I fell for his stupid plan, so I
dumped him. I don't get why he would play me like that."

"Oh Rosie, I know break ups can be hard, but know if you love someone set it free and if it comes back it's yours, but if it
doesn't, it was never meant to be."

Rose turned and went to put her trunk in her room. She skipped dinner and just went to sleep.

Rose could hear her cousins screaming and playing quidditch. They loved that game, all bit Rose and Victorie. Rose
picked up a herbology book and went outside to sit under the large oak tree in the cool shade.

"Oi! Rosie look out!" Hugo cried.

Rose moved to the left just in time as a bludger hit the tree trunk where her head was seconds ago, a few pieces of bark flying off.

"Hugo you idiot!" Rose screamed at him.

"Sorry Rose, I need to work on my aim!" Hugo said dismounting and going inside.

Rose opened her book up again trying to consecrate but couldn't so she just laid there, staring up at the clear blue sky
with a few fluffy clouds here and there. Their family owl flew across the sky and soared in through the kitchen window. Getting up and going inside for a drink of lemonade when she heard voices. Rose pressed her back against
the wall next to the open back door. Usually eavesdropping wasn't her thing, but heard her mom, Hugo, Albus, and
James rapidly talking.

"You know she would just start crying again if she read them," Hugo said.

"But he isn't that bad, he was probably just in a bad mood at the time," Albus said.

"I don't want him anywhere near Rose," James said angrily.

"But Rose still loves him, she only broke up with him because he said she fell for his plan to make her fall in love with
her when he said he really didn't," Hermione argued.

"Exactly the point!" Hugo shouted.

"Shhh, if you don't shut up she'll hear us!" James whispered.

"Alright fine, you guys do what ver you want, but I tell you she would want that letter," Hermione said.

Rose heard her mother coming Rose's way and quickly ducked behind a water barrel. When Rose's mother was out of view she continued to listen for a while.

"Lets just hide the letter somewhere Hugo," James said.

Soon Rose heard Albus and James leave the kitchen so she stepped out from the barrel and walked into the kitchen like she didn't hear a thing.

"Hey Hugo, who's that from?" Rose asked.

Hugo swiftly hid the letter behind his back and said, "No one important, just Avalon, I was supposed to give this to
James."

"I thought Avalon broke up with James a couple months ago because he fooled around to much."

"Hugo who is that really from? You can trust me."

"Fine, it's from Lorcan and Lysander Scamander, we decided to write to each other over break because... We realized
that we both love quidditch."

Rose knew he was lying and that the letter was from Scorpius, but let the matter drop, she didn't want him to know she was eavesdropping. Why would he even want to talk to her after what he said earlier? If he wanted to apologize to her, she wasn't going to forgive him that easily. Everyone in her family knew that she could hold a pretty long grudge, and when she did not to mess with her. The letter still got her curious.

There were two weeks before school started agin and Rose couldn't sleep, she was to occupied with everything about
her and Scorpius' relationship. Why was she even thinking about him?, that jerk! But she was the one who broke up
with him. Although he was the one who called her a stupid Gryffindor. Maybe she did just fall for his stupid idiotic
plan. She was going to find that letter that Hugo hid a week after break started, but it could be any where, he knew all
the hiding places of this house just like her. Rose tip toed out of her bed careful not to step on any of the squeaky floor
boards. She could hear Hugo's snoring from the door across from her own. Rose doubted that the letter would be on
any of the higher floors with her other relatives.

They made Hugo hide it so it was Lilly to either be in Hugo's room, the living room, or the kitchen. Rose crossed the
hall hoping everyone was asleep. As Rose opened his door a centimeter she found a snoring Hugo. Pushing the door
open more it squeaked, jeez, thought Rose, that door really needed oiled. Rose opened the door only so her slim body
could fit through. His room looked like a pig's sty went through a tornado. Rose check in his dresser drawers and
closet but found nothing. She even looked under his pillow but only found a picture of Geo Cragon, which Rose
sniggered at.
