|Chapter 8|

I forgot my phone at his house. I'm just going to go in and leave right away. I parked and walked to the door. I rang the doorbell and waited patiently. The door opened and he stared at me.

"What?" He said.

"I forgot my phone." He opened the door wider and let me walk in. He shut the door and I quickly went to find it. It was on the couch. I shoved it in my pocket and turned around. I ran into him and he grabbed my waist.

"You pissed me off." He said and I sighed.

"And you didn't piss me off? I have to go." I tried moving around him, but he pulled me back.

"And now you have to go?" He raised his eyebrows.

"Yes. I have to go grocery shopping or something." I began trying to pry off his hands.

"I'm sorry." He said and I looked up at him.

"About what?" I questioned and he removed his hands.

"Four years ago." He looked down.

"You are?" He nodded. "Aww. Too bad I don't believe you." He looked up at me and I turned around quickly walking out. I got in my car and began driving. I'm going shopping. I deserve it. I went to the mall and got out. I realized that I should've really gone home to change. I shrugged and threw my hair into a pony tail. I walked in and went around to some stores and bought some things. I went to the food court and got some food. I was in the middle of eating when someone sat down in front of me.

"Is this seat taken?" I looked up and frowned.

"Yes." I said about to stand up.

"Wait!" I looked at him.

"Aren't you going to say something?" I was getting bored with this and I don't want to be bothered.

"Go out with me, Rayne." He said.

"No Brandon! I have to go." I turned and my arm was grabbed.

"Please?" He begged.

"If you'll leave me alone." I said removing his arm from me.

"If you don't like it, I'll leave you alone." He smirked.

"Okay, bye." I rolled my eyes.

"Friday, I'll pick you up." He called after me. I gave him a thumbs up and continued. I already see enough of him. I got back to my car and went to get Alexia. I thanked my mom and drove home. I carried her up the stairs and sat her on the couch. I told her I was going to shower and to not answer the door. No matter what. After getting in the shower and changing into some sweatpants and a t-shirt, I sat on the couch. Looks like my Saturday morning is planned. I grabbed the blanket and threw it over me.

"Mom! I'm cold." I let her under the cover and we watched t.v. I fell asleep quickly.

I woke up to banging on the door. I groaned and got up. I opened the door.

"What?!" I yelled.

"Gosh. Chill out." She laughed.

"I'm sorry, Mandy. I was asleep. What's wrong?" I asked.

"Luke and I just got out of an argument." She rolled her eyes. She moved back to New York two years earlier to be with him again.

"About what?" I let her in.

"He was totally flirting with this girl and he denied it. I saw it with my own eyes. He used the same thing on me." She sat down on the couch.

"Yeah." I sat down next to Alexia.

"What's wrong? You look rough." She made a face.

"Thanks. It's just Cameron." I shrugged.

"Cameron? Dallas?" I nodded. "When did you start talking to him again?"

"I ran into him and then mom scheduled a whole lunch with him and his mom. It was awkward. Then, he mysteriously ends up at my door and later that night, he told Alexia. I had to force him to do it." She shook her head.

"Such a child. He annoys me. He has been annoying me since fucking pre k." She said, causing Alexia to gasp.

"You said a bad word!" She sat up.

"I know babe. I'm sorry." She looked back to the t.v.

"Then, he asked us over for dinner. Since I'm a nice, forgiving person, I said yes. Alexia needs him whether I like him or not. Then, we got into an argument this morning and I just grabbed my stuff and left. He was all over me. It was uncomfortable." She took off her shoes.

"If I were you, I'd give him one good kick to the-" she looked over at Alexia. "You know what I mean." I nodded.

"Yes, then, I took Alexia to mom's and I had to go back to get my phone. He held me hostage for like five minutes and then I went to the mall. Brandon asked me out. I saw him there." I made a face at her. She laughed and walked to the kitchen.

"He's not that bad. It's just his personality. He's got nice black hair and blue eyes. Get yourself together, girl." She opened the fridge.

"I'm trying. I'm just not entirely sure I'd like it to be my boss.." That's weird.

"Who cares who he is? If I wasn't still with Luke, I'd go for it." She walked back out with a bottle of water.

"How about you do it then?" I'm starting to feel sick.

"When is it? I can be you. Our hair color is really close, I'll get some contacts, all good." She said and I shook my head.

"Friday." I sighed, leaning back.

"If I had to be honest though, Cameron's still way hotter. Don't tell him I said that. If he wasn't such a douche bag, then you know.. he'd be alright. But he is." She rambled on.

"I won't tell him." I shrugged.

"He knows we're not friends so it's okay. You could tell him, but he'd tease me." I shook my head.

"The last thing he needs is another ego boost." I rolled my eyes.

"Yeah. So, what are we doing tonight?" She sat down.

"Let's go to the zoo!" Alexia cheered.

"It's way too cold, woman." Mandy said and she sighed.

"So? I'll just ask dad then." She shrugged.

"Dad? That happened quick." Mandy laughed.

"I know. It was like the next day, hi dad." I rolled my eyes.

"She just wants someone to call daddy." Mandy tickled her. She quickly stopped when Lexi began hitting her.

"Stop!" She screamed, running to her room.

"I'm going to get a belt on her." She shook her head.

"Me too. That attitude. The other day, she rolled her eyes at me. She's not supposed to know how to do that yet. She's too much like him, it bothers me." I said lowly.

"I know. She looks exactly like him. How do you do it? I would've killed him, to be honest." I nodded.

"I almost did today." She laughed.

There was a knock on the door.
