|Chapter 17|
"Paco!" I squealed, as we walked in.
"Hm, yeah. Your dog pissed on my carpet." I laughed.
"He is such a good dog. I can't even believe it." I clapped my hands.
"Where is he dad?" Lexi asked, grabbing his hand.
"I don't know. Whenever someone knocks on the door, he runs and hides." He shut the door behind us and I went to sit down. This couch is like, really nice. I saw Paco come out from under the couch. He ran over to me. Oh my. I picked him up.
"Hi baby!" I said and Lexi sat next to me. He licked my hands and I handed him to Alexia. "Don't drop him." She nodded. He sat next to me, wrapping his arm around me.
"We haven't talked in awhile. What have you been doing?" I shrugged, removing his arm.
"Working mostly. I haven't been able to do anything else." He nodded.
"Quit." I looked over at him.
"Quit? And what do you suppose I do after that?" He shrugged.
"I'll take care of you, girl." I shook my head. I almost laughed.
"I can take care of myself sugar daddy." He laughed.
"I like that. You should say it more often." He winked.
"No thanks, hun," I patted his arm. "Gosh Cameron!"
"What? I have been working out." He smirked.
"I can tell," I said, squeezing his arm. "Don't flex. That's cheating."
"Isn't that the whole point?" I shrugged.
"You tell me." I turned towards Lexi and she was sitting on the floor with the dog. He was on his back and she was rubbing his stomach. She's so cute. Sadly, she looks like this thing next to me. He turned my wrist over, looking at the small tattoo on my wrist.
"Would you get another one?" He asked.
"Depends on what it is." I shrugged.
"We should go get one." He said.
"I don't know what I'd even get. You already have so many." He shook his head.
"This left arm, is an opportunity." I laughed.
"That sounded so cheesy." I continued to laugh.
"Okay, shush. I didn't just say that." I nodded.
"I'm going to hold that against you forever." He leaned down towards me.
"You know what I'd rather you hold against me?" He whispered. I moved away, shaking my head.
"I'd rather not." I said, getting up.
"Where are you going?" He asked.
"To raid you refrigerator, duh. I know you have some ice cream," I went to his freezer and I was right. When I closed it, he was right there. "Oh my gosh! You need to stop." He handed me a spoon and dragged me back to the couch. We sat down and he put my legs in his lap. He took it from me.
"I'm going to feed you." I laughed, shaking my head.
"No way. That's weird." He shrugged, holding the spoon out for me.
"It's melting. Eat it." He waved it in my face. I finally did because it was so tempting. He laughed and I hit his shoulder.
"What's funny?" I asked. He shook his head.
"Nothing. You're just cute." He said.
"Aww. You think I'm cute?" I pinched his cheek.
"I take it back," He shoved more ice cream in my mouth, making me laugh. "Don't spit it out!" He put his hand over my mouth. I removed his hand and stopped laughing.
"More." He held the spoon up for me.

After almost eating the whole pint of ice cream, I laid back.
"That was nice. Next time I get ice cream, I'm calling you." He shook his head.
"You can't handle it." I scoffed.
"And you can't put ice cream in someone's mouth. Failure." He sat me up and Alexia came over.
"I'm tired." She sat in his lap and his arms wrapped around her. Cute.
"Want to lay down?" He asked and she nodded. He stood up, taking her back to his room. He came back without her and sat down. "What to do.." He smirked.
"Nothing. I'm going to sleep too. Goodnight." I laid back and he sighed loudly.
"I'm getting bored." He pulled me up.
"What do you want me to do?" He stood up, taking me with him. He walked to the kitchen and opened the doors to outside. "It's cold."
"Come on," He grabbed my hand and shut the door behind us. He pulled me past the pool, to the balcony overlooking the ocean. He leaned against the railing. I didn't know what to do. I just looked out at the moon over the ocean. "I usually come out here to think."
"About?" He shrugged.
"About life, mostly. It's better than it used to be. That's for sure." He never looked at me.
"Why's that?" He stood up straight.
"Because of you and Alexia," He sighed. "I'm sorry."
"For?" He turned towards me.
"For leaving you. I don't understand. Why do you still try with me?" I turned away.
"Because I want you to be there for her. I don't want her to grow up without you," He just nodded, putting his hands on the rail. I placed my hand on his arm. He got goosebumps, I lightly smirked. "Let's go inside." He followed behind me and shut the door.
"Thanks." He said and nodded.
"I should probably get going," He nodded and I went to get Lexi. She was curled up laying under the covers. As much as I'd hate to wake her, I have to. "Honey, wake up. We have to go." She made some type of noise and pulled the covers over her head.
"No. I want to stay." She whined.
"Let's go. Come on." She sighed."I want to stay with daddy." I groaned.
"Fine, but he's bringing you home," I stood up and walked back out. "She wants to stay with you."
"That's fine." I just nodded.
"Ugh. Can I stay? I don't want to go home alone." He smiled and grabbed my hand, taking me back to his room.
