|Chapter 20|
"Your dad is going to be here and you're not ready." She was complaining about me brushing her hair.
"I know mom." She cross her arms. After I brushed it out, I left it down putting a red headband in. She skipped off to the table to eat her cereal. There was a knock on the door. I was dressed in shorts and a loose t-shirt. And I forgot a bra.. Maybe I can quickly put one on. I walked to the door and there he was. His eyes immediately went down to my chest and I punched his arm. He laughed and I let him inside. I went to quickly put on a bra and when I came back out, he was sitting across from her. He was dressed in a suit. Didn't pay attention before because he was being weird. I sat down too.
"So, are going going to ride with me?" I shook my head. "Why not? Are you scared?" He smirked.
"Yes, I am. Because you are insane." He shrugged.
"I have my license. They wouldn't give it to me if I was insane, idiot." I shook my head.
"That's why you probably don't have it. You're bad." He nodded.
"I know, but I seriously got it. I was thinking Friday." I met his eyes.
"Friday, what?" No way in hell.
"We're going out," I shook my head. "Yes, Rayne. Please."
"No. I have something to do anyway." I lied.
"What could possibly be more important than me?" I scoffed, standing.
"A lot of things. I'm hanging out with Mandy." That is a lie that I could easily make true.
"Next Friday?" I shook my head. "Next next Friday?" I sighed.
"Fine. Next Friday. You kill me, I'm going to murder you." He just nodded and stood up. I took Alexia's bowl and she grabbed her bag.
"Bye mom." She hugged my leg before running out the door. I heard the door shut and I went to lay back in bed. I shouldn't, but I want to. I laid down and closed my eyes.

I walked to the elevator, ignoring Brandon yet again. I rapidly pressed the button as he walked towards me. The doors opened and I got in. I let out a breath as the doors began closing. They were stopped and I cursed.
"Rayne," He breathed out. I didn't say anything. He walked all the way in, letting the doors shut. "Rayne, talk to me." I crossed my arms, pressing the thirty-ninth floor.
"I don't have anything to say." He frowned and his hands rest on my arms.
"I know you're mad at me. I'm sorry Rayne, but what am I supposed to think?" I shook my head.
"Not that. Who do you think I am?" I removed his arms.
28, 29, 30..
"I was rude, I admit, but when you told me that you spent the night at your exes house, I didn't know what to think."
"I think we know each other a little better than that." I rolled my eyes.
"I just got frustrated. I mean, at one point, you loved this guy. You had a child with him. Who knows what could've happened?" I still love him..
No, I don't.
"It's whatever. You don't trust me, that's fine." I shook his hands off of me.
37, 38, 39!
I walked out, leaving him there. Not before I slid my hand across all the buttons. He needed to get to the forty first floor, but now, he's got to go to the ground floor all the way back up.
"Nice seeing you, really." I sarcastically smiled before the doors shut.
Fuck, Fuck, Fuck My Life!
(Sang this like Row, Row, Your Boat, lol)I went to my office thing and sat down. Can't wait until the day is over.

I got let out early. Brandon let me off early because he knows what's good for him. I walked out, pulling down my skirt slightly. I put my sunglasses on and put my purse on my forearm. I walked to my car and went to get Alexia. I threw my cardigan in the backseat and began driving. I decided I should pick Alexia up. I told my mom, she didn't have to and I was on my way. I got out. I'm a little early. I sat at the hood of my car, waiting for the children to be dismissed. When they began coming out, I walked past the middle school children and some high school students. I got a whistle and they got a middle finger. She ran to me and I picked her up.
"Damn, is that your little sister?" I rolled my eyes.
"This is my daughter, actually." He looked to be the typical fuckboy.
"Then you must get around." He smirked and I turned and began walking away. I heard him laughing and I wanted to turn around and punch him in the throat, but I decided against it. I put her in the car and began driving home. After grabbing all my stuff, I picked up Alexia. She refused to walk upstairs. I unlocked the door and dropped everything in my arms.
"Ouch mom!" She rubbed her elbow. Tears brimmed in her eyes and she began crying. I sighed and picked her up. I set her on the couch and got her some ice.
"You should have walked up the stairs yourself." She shook her head, continuing to cry.
"I want to see daddy!" She cried loudly. I walked to my room and changed. I walked back out. "I want to see you." I heard. She was on my phone.
"Alexia, what are you doing?" She turned away, continuing to talk on the phone.
"Daddy, I miss you." I snatched the phone.
"I'm sorry. She's mad because I dropped her. You don't have to come." I said quickly.
"It's fine. If you don't want me to come over, say so." I shook my head.
"I don't care. I'm going to make dinner, goodbye." I ended the call before I said something dumb.
