"Angel! Angel!"
Scamp barked, sprinting all over town.
"Angel please! If you can hear me- please!"
Scamp had been looking to his left and his right, but not what was in front of him. Scamp ran right into a fence.
He whimpered, licking his paw.
The fence had a small hole in it, about his size. He peeked through the hole and gasped.
"Angel!"
Angel, who had her ears perked, looking for the source of the noise, turned around and met Scamp's brown eyes through the hole in the fence.
She gasped,
"Scamp!"
"Angel!"
"Scamp!"
Scamp barked excitedly as he squeezed through the hole and ran to Angel, the two puppies nuzzled each other, Scamp whimpered in relief.
"I'm so sorry I left Scamp."
Angel apologized, whimpering.
"Why did you?"
Scamp asked,
"I.. I just didn't feel like I belonged there.. I felt like I.. Was a burden."
"Angel, my sisters are all frizzed."
"What?"
"My mom and dad are worried about you too."
"I.. I had no idea."
"So.. Will you come back?"
"Scamp I- I don't know."
"Hmph, figures."
"What's that supposed to mean?"
"You were always so blind to what you really need-"
"WHAT? ME?"
"Yeah! You were with the junkyard dogs when you should've been looking for a family!"
"I had no choice! Nobody wanted me! And you have no position to talk, you ran away from a home and a family that loved you!"
"Well, that's pretty much what you did. Jim Dear and Darling loved and cared for you, so did the rest of my family! You are such a hypocrite!"
"How could you say that!"
"I don't know! Because it's true!"
Angel's ear flopped down.
"Angel.. I'm sorry-"
"YOU REALLY KNOW HOW TO MAKE ME HAPPY DON'T YOU?"
She screamed, running away, crying.
"Angel!"
He sighed, whimpering.
