Scamp opened his eyes, it was morning. He got up and stretched his hind legs. He noticed there were now wagons and people all over the streets.
He took a deep breath, walked out of the alley, and bolted to the other side of the street when there seemed to be no wagons coming his way. He sighed in relief, looking back. The moment he turned around, he was face to face with Tramp. Scamp shook his head in disbelief,
"Dad??"
Tramp smiled, overjoyed, he nuzzled his son.
"Oh, Whirlwind, I can't believe I found you." Scamp pulled away, smiling.
Lady, who was right behind Tramp, walked up to Scamp and nuzzled him. Scamp nuzzled his mother, then pulled away again. They all seemed to be smiling, until Scamp lost his smile,
"I.. I.. Angel.. she-" he started,
"What happened, whirlwind? Did you find Angel?"
Tramp asked.
Scamp scoffed,
"Oh, I found her alright."
"What happened?"
Lady repeated Tramp's question.
Scamp sighed,
"Well, when I found her I asked her why she left.. she said she felt like she didn't belong there.. I got mad because she was being ridiculous.. a little yelling here, and a little yelling there.. and then she ran off. She sounded really mad at me."
Lady let out a deep sigh,
"Sweetie, I know you love her.. but.. Tramp and I have been looking for you for a whole day now.. and.. well.. if you have no idea where she went.. I.. well.."
"What she's trying to say is.." Tramp started,
"She could be anywhere. And we don't want to worry Jim Dear and Darling more than we already have. If she truly feels like she doesn't belong there.. you might just have to move on."
Scamp gasped, his shocked expression soon became an angry one.
"How could you say that?? We'll find her! A-and I know where I saw her last! Maybe we can bring Uncle Trusty there and he can follow her scent! May-maybe he-"
Scamp stuttered like crazy as tears filled his eyes.
"Woah woah, slow down there, whirlwind."
Tramp said, attempting to calm his son.
"Sweetie, we simply couldn't force Trusty to come all the way out here.. Besides, you know he lost his sense of smell a long time ago."
Lady explained.
Scamp nodded, tears cascading down his cheeks.
"I'm sorry so-"
"NO!" Scamp interrupted Tramp.
"If you won't help me find her, I'll find her myself!" Scamp yelled in frustration, then he ran passed them as quickly as he could.
"Scamp!"
Lady yelled."Angel! ANGEL! PLEASE! IF YOU CAN HEAR ME.. I'M SORRY!."
Scamp barked desperately, running all around town, checking every alley, every park, every place he could.Angel and Noname shared a cupcake they found in the garbage can.
"Hey Angel, do you think.. maybe.."
Noname started, Angel perked her ears and looked up at him.
"Maybe your family misses you?"
Angel sighed, shifting her eyes to the left, thinking about Scamp and the others. She then looked back at Noname,
"Maybe? but.. I've been rejected too many times, I feel like... if I stay there too long, they'll kick me out eventually just like the previous 5 did."
"Angie, I left my most recent family for the same reason you did, and I regret it everyday. I only want what's best for you. Is living on the streets really what you want?"
He asked.
"Why don't you just go back?"
Angel asked, dodging his question.
"Oh I did, but.. I looked in the window and.. they replaced me."
Angel gasped,
"That's horrible!"
"I guess I was just.. not good enough for them.. maybe me leaving was the best thing that ever happened to them."
Angel's blue eyes saddened,
"What if they've already replaced me?"
Angel asked him. He laughed and shook his head,
"C'mon, who in the right mind would even think about replacing a sweet dog like you?"
Angel blushed,
"I really needed to hear that."
"Angel!"
Angel perked her ears, so did Noname.
"Did you hear that?"
Angel asked, Noname nodded.
It got even louder.Scamp was beginning to lose hope, maybe he'd never find her. Maybe he should've just gone back home when he had the chance. Once he got to another alley, he looked over, not expecting to find Angel, but to his surprise, he did.
He froze, completely shocked.
"Scamp?"
She whispered, she was clearly in shook too.
He smiled wide and ran towards her.
"Angel!"
He barked.
"Scamp!"
She barked. Once Scamp reached her, he nuzzled her. She nuzzled back.
"I missed you so much."
They both said at the same time.
