Fights

When Petra woke up,Jesse was gone.Out looking for food or something.
With Olivia.
Her bed was empty too.Axel was still faaaaaassssttt asleep.

So Petra got up and went into the forest,just looking for something interesting.There were a few cows near a river.Sheep.Chickens.Pigs.

Pigs.

And there was someone else watching them,too.

"Hey,Olivia."Petra called.

"Hey."Olivia waved back.

She was sitting on grass,watching those fat pigs oink and wander around aimlessly.

"Is Jesse with you?"Petra asked.

"Is she ever?"

"Well,she's not in the treehouse,so..."

"What?!"Olivia shouted.

"Yeah."Petra's hands went to her hips."Do you know where she is?"

"No I don't."

Olivia's eyes widened and she looked around.

"Maybe she went for a walk?"Olivia offered.

Petra wasn't convinced.

"We should check the books."

By the time they had figured that out,Axel was awake and joined them in checking the books.
When they reached the books,they were both there.

"Looks like she didn't find them."Olivia sighed with relief.

"Wait a moment."Axel picked up the book with the map and opened it."This book has no pages!"

"So she found out then!"Petra glared at Olivia.

"Don't pin this on me!"Olivia snapped.

"You were watching last night."Petra pointed out.

"So were you!"

"I would never do something like this!"

"Neither would I!"

"Yes you would!"

"Shut up!"Axel shouted."We need to find Jesse."

Olivia and Petra had a staring contest for what seemed like forever.

"Fine."Petra shrugged."But how,exactly?"

"I say we get Lukas.He could help."Olivia still glared at Petra out of the corner of her eye.

"I'm not getting the jerk."Axel crossed his arms.

"I thought he was alright in your book."Olivia raised an eyebrow.

"He is,but that doesn't mean he's not a jerk."Axel smiled and wiggled his unibrow.

"Axel...that's just weird."Petra said,shaking her head.

Lukas had been thoroughly suprised when he heard the news,and of course he agreed to help.

"We need to ask around,see if anyone's seen her."Lukas said.

"I agree on that."Petra agreed.

"What about Reuben's memoir?"Axel suggested."She might've gone there to say something.Something heroic."He smiled at the last one.

"I go there."Olivia offered.

"Aren't we all going?"Petra countered.

Tension rose in the air and thickened.

"It'll be better if we split up,it'll be faster!"

The two argued and left Lukas confused.He turned to Axel.

"Since when have these two been like this?"Lukas asked.

"Girls are complicated,it takes too much effort to figure out their feelings."Axel huffed.

Lukas's jaw slowly opened as the girls battled it out with words.

"Girl fights are scary."Lukas backed up."Can't we just vote?"

The girls noticed that.

"Sure."Petra hissed,glaring at Olivia."I know you did it."

"Fine."Olivia shrugged."Don't pin this on me,Petra."

"So,who votes we split up?"Axel asked.

He,Olivia and Lukas raised their hands.

"Majority."Axel declared.

"Fine!"Petra raised her hands in defeat."But,Olivia,if you get in trouble don't expect me to come to your rescue!"

Olivia raised an eyebrow."Never expected you to."

"Meet back at the treehouse at sundown."Lukas said,still scared by girl fights.

"Let's see what we've got to work with."Axel rubbed his hands together.

"Someone said he sold a horse to a member of the Order."Olivia offered."I'm pretty sure none of us bought any."

"A guy saw Jesse riding on a horse in the direction of...something about a big tree."Petra said.

"I didn't get any information."Lukas explained."But I got a map,marked with the direction Jesse was headed."

"Good."Axel said.

"What information did you get,Axel?"Olivia asked.

"Nothing important.Just stuff like sightings from yesterday."Axel sighed.

"The map says Jesse was headed for one of the corners of the Far Lands."Lukas held out the map."But we'll never catch up with her on foot.And the Far Lands...well...we barely got out of them together!"

"Well,its clear what happens now."Petra looked at Jesse's bed."We get ourselves some horses."
