Romantic

JOSH POV

I really like Sam. It's something I just can't help. Hopefully, if everything goes to plan, maybe I could go on a date with her.

The plan is to show up at her place with flowers and then ask. If she says yes, I take her on a picnic. If she says no.... Let's not think about that.

I change into a neat button up shirt, the cleanest jeans I've ever owned and a pair of smart shoes. Nothing too formal. Nothing too casual. Besides, I have to dress to impress.

I drive to Sam's apartment and park outside. In one hand, a bouquet of flowers. In the other, a basket filled with food for a picnic.

After countless amounts of stairs, I finally reached her door. I place the basket beside the door, out of site and the flowers behind my back. I knock on the door.

A short girl with brown hair and brown eyes open the door confused.
"Who are you?" She asks.
"Oh uh- I'm Josh. Does Sam live here?"
She nods.

SAM POV

"SAAAAAAAMM? A tall dude is here to see you!" I hear my roommate call out.
I dash towards the front door to see Josh. Josh isn't that tall. Well, to be fair, everyone is tall from my roommate's point of view.

"Hey Josh. What's up?" I ask.
He was wearing a smart yet casual outfit and his hand was behind his back. I wonder why?
"Hey Sam. I was wondering.... Would you like to go on a date with me tonight?" There was a long pause.
"Please." He added.
Josh awkwardly presented a bouquet of flowers.
"Sure. I'd love to." I reply.
"Where we going?" I ask.
He picks up a basket which was hiding next to the doorway.
"On a picnic."
My roommate starts giggling with a huge grin on her face.

I get changed into a cute floral print dress then meet up with Josh at the door. After walking down a ton of stairs, we reached his car. He drove us to an isolated field and began setting up the picnic.

JOSH POV

I set up the picnic and sat down with Sam on the cloth. She looked beautiful in that floral print dress and that slight breeze blowing through her hair.

We ate through the food instantly, since both of us have such an appetite. The food was amazing. Glad Chris is such a great chef. He should of chose cooking over tech.

We lay down next to each other and watched the stars shining in an endless sky.
"It's beautiful"
Do you know what's more beautiful? You (Sam).
"What?" Sam says as she turns to me.
Shit. Did I say that outloud? Fuck it.
I've seen enough romamce movies to pull this off.
"I said, you're the most beautiful person I've ever met and you make me so happy. I really like you Sam."
Guess my "people skills" didn't fail me today.

Sam blushes at my remark.
"Couldn't you be any more romantic?" She says before kissing me on the lips.
"Well I guess that answers my next question." I say.
"What were you gonna ask?"
"Will you be my girlfriend Sam?"
She replies with another kiss which lasted longer than the previous one.
I really love her.
