The ghost of Aubrey and I quickly finished our traveling to Ruseltun and now had to find Chance.
I quickly walked to police station that sat at the center of this extremely small town.
I asked about him and they pointed me to a large house that sat atop a hill.
I made way their quickly and knocked on the large dark oak door.
No answer, I looked at my tendrils, they were going crazy.
They were zigzagging throughout my legs and wrapping around my body over and over again quickly.
I looked to my right to see Aubrey, she smiled and nodded at the door.
I knocked again, this time harder, I felt the wood slightly splinter under my hard raps.
I heard a silky voice with an Irish accent yell "I'm coming, I'm coming!"
I tapped my foot uneasily, awaiting what I'd see. If this was a man that could help me break Elijah out of the council's grasps, I feared what'd he'd be like.
The door slowly swung open and there stood a man with skin like porcelain and golden blonde locks that tumbled to about his chin. He was absolutely stunning.
He was built very large, larger than Elijah. He had broad shoulders and his fists were large and scarred.
I locked eyes with him. His eyes were black, almost like Elijah's, but his were true black.
He smirked at me and I noticed the scar that ran from his bottom lip down his jawline and stopped at his collarbones.
"Well, it is truly a lovely surprise to see such an exquisite beauty on my doorstep, especially one that carries a gift as dark as mine." his smooth silky voice cooed more at the dark tendrils wrapping around me then myself.
I narrowed my eyes at him and flexed my hands, my tendrils instantly stilled. They lowered to just around my calves."Are you Chance?"
"I am and who are you?"
"I am Elijah Winston's mate and he told me that if I found you, you could help me save him."
His smirk instantly dropped, his jaw clenched and I saw anger pass over his features.
"Elijah is in trouble? Where? Why?""The council took him several hours ago because he changed me and because I hold the power to control darkness and because he's a Darkblood, they blame him for the small hiccup I had. They wanted me too, but these little ones-" I motioned to the tendrils that had began nuzzling my legs-"had other plans. He yelled this town's name and yours. Meaning you're helping me get him, Colton and Savannah back, got it?"
He looked me up and down a small smile playing at his lips. He straightened up completely, most likely trying to intimidate me. He stood even taller than Elijah, 6'7 maybe.
"Why would I help you?""Because if you don't well let's just say that pretty little face of yours"- I took a bold step forward feeling anger surge through my body-"won't stay very pretty."
A wide smile spread across his face as he said "Of course when Elijah finally decided to be bound to someone for eternity it'd be someone just as dangerous as him. Come in."
He motioned for me to walk in. I looked at Aubrey and she shook her head, she walked. Well floated through the doorway and I followed.
We walked into a large room, I'd assume was the living room and sat.
He eyed me for a few silent minutes before he said "Why do you keep looking beside you. No one is there."
I shook my head and said "But there is." he looked at me and started to speak, but I cut him off with my hand.
I looked at my tendrils then Aubrey and she shook her head in excitement.
I raised my wrist to my lips and extended my fangs. I gashed my wrist and the scent of my blood instantly filled the room.
The tendrils instantly perked up and started to inch towards the wound.
I put my hand up to stop them and looked at Aubrey.
She reached out to me and out hand over my wound.
The tendrils then jumped to the gash.
Flowing into her shape. Slowly forming a visible apparition of Aubrey.
I heard Chance gasp and say "Bloody hell, it can't be."
I smiled and pulled my hand away, licking the wound to seal it.
Chance looked from me then to Aubrey and said "You're a spitting image of the council leader's daughter!" I smiled and shook my head.
Audrey's musical voice rang around the room "Now that you can actually see and here me, thanks to Kellin-" she smiled at me sweetly-"I can tell you what to do. Well, first you may have noticed our appearance, that'd be because-" I cut her off saying "I'm well, a reincarnated version of her."
She nodded daintily and then looked at Chance to make sure he was following, he looked to be in absolute shock, but he nodded once, so she continued. "And as you know I am Andrew Lykin's daughter, so I can help get Elijah back as long as you will help us also."
He looked from me to her and back to me and said with a heavy Irish accent "Reincarnated version of? Oh Lordy, I'll help. But only because I owe Elijah."
I smirked, I really didn't care how we got his help as long as we got it.
