A New Kellin

I checked at the front desk where Ruseltun was, the clerk told me it was in a whole different state. So, I made it my destination.
I knew if I truly wanted to get there quickly I'd run.
I slowly walked towards the back of the motel and to the woods behind it.
The second I reached the edge of them I took off. Running as fast as I could.
I could feel the crunch of the ground and leaves as my feet pounded over it.
I saw the tendrils wrapping around me again and again. Shielding me from the view of any prying eyes again.
I ran and ran until dark, I slowed and then came to a stop. I could see the highway if been following, headlights from passing cars briefly lit the woods as they passed.
I walked to the edge, my throat on fire. I saw easy prey. A little wave of my arms and if have someone stopped and driving me to where ever I wanted within minutes.
Which would most likely be a dark road that I could easily drain their body on.
That's when I heard it the little voice again.
This time it wasn't in my head though. I whipped around to be standing face to face with a young women. About my age, maybe a year or two older. Long blonde hair fell on her small frame. She was thin, but in a beautiful way.
He face though, it scared me. So similar to my own, that I felt panic rush through my body.

"Don't fear me. I am you, but from a different lifetime." she smiled at me.
The voice she spoke with was the one I had been hearing in my head only days ago.

"Who-who are you? What do you mean you're me?" I shouted.

She let out a delicate giggle and then said "You are me reincarnated dear. You are you, yes. But I live within you, you are an image of me. Which is quite rare."

I stared at her in absolute shock. I was a reincarnated version of her. "What do you mean it's rare? Why am I a reincarnated version of you? and why have been hearing your voice in my head?"

"It's rare because this is only the second time of it ever happening on record. I don't know why I was reincarnated to be honest, but I could take a guess. Which is your mate killed me and now you're bound to him as I once wished to be. And for why you've been hearing my voice, it'd be because I knew you needed a little guidance, which you haven't been accepting." she gave me a small smile.
I was in total shock, if I was the mate of Elijah and only one other person was so infatuated with him they wanted to be his mate that would mean I was the now version of Aubrey Rose.

"Shit, so you can help me get Elijah and my friends back then. Since you were the council leaders daughter. Right? Please say right."

"Well, since I'm dead and you're the only one that can see me that'd be difficult, but since your are practically an exact copy of me, just a little different body wise then you could probably do it. But if you kill another human, like you were planning, it's gonna be hard to ask the council for forgiveness."
I shook my head, my throat was burning so horribly. I needed to feed. Even my tendrils were getting frustrated. They wound around my legs and waist again and again in frustration.
I could feel the uneasiness in them and it was starting to get to me.

"Strange, you having the power of darkness. Especially since my father used to call me, his guiding light. What kept him from falling into Mad Vampire Disease. That is a tragic thing to fall to, you know."

"No, I don't know."

"It's when your humanity stats to slip away from you, Ibe seen you on the brink of it many times, that's why I knew you needed my help, my guidance. And as for your thirst and their-" she motioned towards the agitated tendrils that kept beating off towards the highway before leaping back to me. "thirst, follow me."
I did as I was told. After all the girl was dead, she couldn't hurt me.
She lead me to the edge of a small clearing and pointed towards a small blob laying in the center of it.

"Their is where you'll get your blood."
I let my eyes adjust in on the blob and as my eyes focused so did my hearing.
I could hear the heartbeat of the large buck laying in the clearing. He was resting.
His heart was slow and steady. As was his blood, I could hear it gliding through his veins and before I could stop myself I was upon the poor animal.
Catching it by surprise, m  arms latched around its neck, taking it to the ground in a mere seconds. The large beast didn't stand a chance to my strength.
The tendrils that had been rapped around my body unwound and locked onto the buck.
Leaving large gashed everywhere the touched. They got plumper and plumper as the fed, I couldn't sand the smell of the delicious liquid anymore and sunk my fangs right into the pulse of the struggling deer.
It's body went limp within seconds.
It felt like heaven, the warm liquid rushing down my throat? but it soon stopped.
I shoved the large animals lifeless body aside and got up.
Dusting myself off, the burn in the back of my throat was just a small ache now and the tendrils wrapping around me were back to their loving selves, nuzzling me.

"Isn't that better my little dolls?" I heard Aubrey's musical voice say.
I looked up to see her ghostly hand pass right through the tendrils s she dried to pet and soothe then.
I smiled, as she looked up at me and said "They aren't evil like my father said. They seek the same thing the rest of us do, love."
