Vic's POV one month later

"Vic! We're on in ten minutes!" Mike yells to me.

"Okay!" I yell back. We're playing for the Alternative press music awards tonight and I'm nervous as hell. I haven't played a show since Blade died. I had to cancel an entire tour because of it but I'm cleaning my life up now. I took Shiloh back home and she's happy again, which makes me happy. We're playing Hold on Till May tonight because it was Blade's favorite.Tony suggested we do it as a tribute to her and I was so in.

"Pierce the Veil is on in five minutes!" A guy from the crew says.

I feel myself tense up but I force myself to relax. It's going to be hard to do this without my lover watching me from the crowd but I know that this is what I was meant to do.

"One minute!" Those words send chills down my spine. I stand up and put my guitar around my neck. I go up to the microphone and wait for the curtain hiding us from the crowd to drop. I look backstage and see Shiloh in Jessica's arms.

"And now guys, we have a very special performance." I hear Alex from All Time Low from the other side of the curtain.

"Yes we do Alex!" Jack continues. "Everyone put your fucking hands up for Pierce the Veil!" The crowd roars. That sound gives me so much hope that this will go amazing.

Jack and Alex run off the stage and the certain drops revealing the huge crowd. No going back now.

I strum the first few notes of the song and everyone goes crazy.

"What's up everyone! We are Pierce the Veil and this one is called Hold on Till May! This one goes out to my beautiful wife in heaven so sing it if you know it!" I say into the microphone. People started jumping and cheering and I swear I heard a few people yell 'We love you Blade!' I could almost see Blade smiling. I know this would make her proud.

"She sits up high. Surrounded by the sun. One million branches and she loves every one. Mom and dad, did you search for me? I've been up here so long I'm going crazy! And as the sun went down we ended up on the ground, I heard the train shake the windows, you screamed over the sound. And as we own this night, I put your body to the test with mine. This love was out of control. Three, two, one. Where did it go?" I sang those lyrics loud and proud. The entire performance was uphill from there. The crowd sang along with me and it felt amazing. Then it came to the part where I usually have a girl come up and sing with me. I sang my part and walked towards the backstage area and quickly grabbed Shiloh.

"Sing with daddy Shiloh!" I said in her ear quickly before the part came.

"If you were me, you'd do the same! Cuz I can't take anymore, I'll tear the shades and close the door! Everything's not alright and I would rather..." People went insane over me doing a short little duet with Shiloh. I set her down and she ran back to the backstage area with Jessica. She looked so happy. It was amazing.

I finished the song with the biggest smile on my face. I did it! I felt so proud of myself.

"We are Pierce the Veil and we hope you have an amazing rest of your night here at the AMPA's!" I said into the mic.

All of us lined up and took a bow and the curtain went back up.

"That was amazing!" Jaime shouted.

"Yeah. I can't believe I did that.." I said as I took my guitar off.

"Well believe it! You were amazing. Frankly we all were. Especially me..." Mike jokes with a laugh.

"I'm sure this is a performance that everyone will be talking about for a long time." Our tour manager says.

We thank him and go to the dressing room. I see Shiloh in there sitting on the couch and I run up to her and pick her up.

"Daddy!" She squeals as I swing her in the air. I set her back down and kiss her forehead.

"Did you like the show princess?" I ask as I hold her on my hip.

"I loved it dada!" She says happily.

"Good. I'm glad you did. And did you like singing?" I ask.

"Of course! Singing is really fun." She says. I can't wait till she's old enough to be taught how to play guitar. She'll be a mini me.

We still have to stay here for an hour more so I decided to take a nap. I laid down on the couch and Shiloh laid on top on my chest.

I soon found myself drifting off to sleep.

"Vic!" I heard someone call. "Victor!" I heard it again. It sounds familiar. It almost sounds like.... Blade. That's who it is! I'm in a huge garden. And I feel all my cares drift away in it.

"Blade?" I call out as I run through the garden.

"Vic!" She yells happily once she sees me. I'm almost in tears when I see her too.

"Oh my gosh. Blade!" I say as I wrap my arms around her and embrace her. I hold on to her and she holds on to me too. I can't believe it. In some other reality I can actually hold the love of my life.

"I loved your performance." Blade says as she lets go of me. I take a good look at her when she does let go. She has a white dress on and she looks beautiful as ever. It's almost like I'm standing in the presence of a goddess.

"Y-you were watching?" I happily stutter.

"Are you kidding? Of course I was!" Blade says with a laugh. This is definitely Blade. She still has that beautiful laugh. "Playing hold on till may for me was so sweet of you Vic. I'm proud of you. I'm proud of everything you've done to make your life better. I know losing me was hard but I'm always with you babe. I'm always with both you and Shiloh." She said.

"Blade.." I softly say as I feel a tear roll down my cheek.

"I'm right here baby. Like I said, I'm always with you. Maybe not physically but in every other way." Blade wiped the tear away with her soft hand. "I want you to find love again, okay? For me please."

I put my arms around her and embraced her for the last time.

"Make sure Shiloh knows I love her." Blade says.

"Definitely. I wouldn't have it any other way." I say as I stroke my fingers through her hair.

"Congratulations on your award by the way." She says

"What award?" I ask.

"Oh yeah. You don't know yet. You'll see soon enough." She says with a laugh.

"Wow. Didn't think I'd ever win anything." I said and chuckled. Then it was silence. Just me and her. Holding each other. It was the best feeling in the world.

"I love you Vic. I always have and I always will." Blade says and presses her lips on mine. Each second as we kiss I feel myself slowly drift away back into reality. The reality I never wanted to go back to.

"Vic! Wake up! We won!" Tony exclaims as he shakes me.

"What? I ask as I get up.

"We won best band of the year come on!" I don't even hesitate to get up. I run out there and I see people directing me towards the stage. I run up there and people cheer loudly.

I get handed a golden trophy and I hoist it up with pride for everyone to see.

"Ladies and gentlemen the best band of the year, Pierce the Veil!" The announcer says.

I can't believe it. Blade was right. I knew she was smiling at me and clapping. I know she's here now. She'll always be by my side.
