I kept pushing her toward the car. I opened the back door and shoved her in. KC got in and so did I. I took the key out of my pocket and cranked. The car wasn't working. I kept on cranking and cranking. It wouldn't start. I got out of the car to check under the hood. Something was very wrong. I shouldn't have come here with a human. I shut the hood and got back in the car. I pressed the button that, should have, locked all the doors. But, it didn't.
"Shit" I muttered under my breath.
"What's wrong?" KC asked
"You stay here and make sure she is safe"
"I will" he assured me.
The was no hunger in his eyes. I did trust him. I picked up my purse from the floor of the car and opened it. I pulled out my only weapon. A charmed silver stake. KC put his hands up as if surendering. I shook my head. He lowered his arms and moved to the back seat with Alyssa. From the corner of my eye I saw a black blur. Crap! I heard a bang sound then quickly turned to see what it was. My jaw dropped and I froze. He was standing on the hood of the car twirling his fingers in blue and red cables.
"Long time no see, Stella. I smell that you have brought a snack."
He jumped down and I unfroze. I charged toward him the stake already postioned to kill. He grabbed me by the shoulder and threw me onto the windshield. I heard the glass crack and blood spilled out everywhere. I tried to hold my grasp on the stake, but it was no use. I was gone. Either I was unconscious or dead. KC would know my secret and Alyssa will prbably become a vampire. My family might never be seen again. My vision blacked.
