Chapter 5 ~ 'Kise-kun'

"AH! Kise-kun!"

"You're so AWESOME!"

"Notice me Kise-kun!"

"Kise-kun!"

"I love you!"

"He's so amazing!"

"Please be my boyfriend, Kise-kun!!"

She frowned as the girls from her class fawned over 'Kise-kun'. He was always the center of attention. And now, he beat the soccer team's best player earning more screeching from the crowd of rabid fangirls.

Her eyes followed his back as he walked away. She scoffed when a basketball hit his head. Good for him, she thought, walking away.

A blue haired boy took his seat beside her during Math.

"Hello Kuroko-kun," she greeted.

Kuroko Tetsuya's eyes were sparkling and there was a fossil of a smile on his lips.

"You look happy," she muttered. Unlike him, she wasn't in a good mood. Shintaro rushed her and she didn't get to eat breakfast and, again, the purple titan took her pocky. And now, she's hungry. And cranky.

"I got my uniform today." He lifted up his uniform with the school's name.

"That's nice," she mumbled, glancing at it.

She sat alone at Maji Burgers in her home clothes. She had gone home first because Shintaro still had basketball training. But then she got hungry and here she is, a burger in her hand and a milkshake in the other.

She's already a second year in Teiko and most of the time, she would be going home alone because practice would hold Shintaro back. She's been going to every single match or practice match. Sometimes, she would find herself watching Seijurou more than her brother. She put down her milkshake to flip the page of her manga.

"Midorima-san, can I sit here?" She looked up and saw Tetsuya in front of her. She nodded and put her burger down.

"Don't you usually do extra practice?" She asked curiously, noting that the third-string gym lights were usually switched off that year.

"No, sometimes. I got transferred to the first string and their training is harder," Tetusuya answered, sipping his vanilla milkshake. She saw him at his first game, tripping over and having a nosebleed. A part of her laughed but the other pitied him. It as his first game and yet he made a fool out of himself
because he was nervous. "I don't think your brother likes me that much," she heard him mumble. Tetsuya wouldn't usually mumble so she pretended she didn't hear it. With a louder voice, he said, "Someone joined the first string today. His name is Kise-kun."

Her face scrunched up at the name. That was all she's been hearing today and she was sick of it. "Interesting," she muttered, tearing off a piece of her burger.
