Chapter 21 ~ Uniform

"Midori-san~"

Shinako rolled over and pulled her blanket to her neck, ignoring the person who called her name.

"Wake up~"

She groaned and covered her ears.

"MIDORI-SAN!"

She yelped and sat up, almost head butting Aida Riko, Seirin's coach, the person she's sharing her room with.

With her eyes closed she groaned again and stood up, stumbling to hold on to Riko's shoulder.

"Riko-chan!" Shinako whined, stomping her feet. Yesterday, they talked for a long time and she didn't get enough sleep, unlike Riko who was probably used to it.

When Shinako opened her eyes, she hissed and squinted. "It's so bright!" She exclaimed, closing her eyes again.

Riko laughed at the first year and threw Shinako her clothes before going out the room.

Shinako yawned and lied down again, falling asleep, her clothes sprawled on her chest.

After Shintaro barged into the room to find Shinako still sleeping, he carried her to the toilet, letting her sleep for a few more minutes. He stopped in front of the girls' toilet, waking her up.

"Morning." She mumbled, walking into the toilet her eyes closed, toothbrush and clothes in hand. She clicked her tongue when she almost hit the wall and Shintaro suppressed a smile.

Takao chuckled at her sleepiness before following Shintaro into the guys' toilet.

"Shina-chan..."

She turned her head to Takao who was shivering. Is he cold?

"Are you sure you're fine in that r-room?" He asked, stuttering. "Did Seirin's coach do anything to you last night."

She tilted her head at him. "No. Why?"

"Nothing." He mumbled, before averting his eyes suspiciously. She raised an eyebrow but ignored Takao's weirdness. Because to her, he's always weird.

Together, they walked to the gym.

"We're cursed." Shintaro said, holding the ball with a dark look on his face.

Seirin's not so bad. Shinako thought with a shrug. "You're just overeacting nii-chan."

"We're having a practice match with Seirin." Shinako said to the team.

Takao smirked a little and Shintaro was trying to supress a small smirk.

Three matches. Three wins. Shinako thought watching as Shutoku won once again. Why isn't Kagami playing? She bit her inside cheek and observed Riko. What are you planning Riko-chan?

She's noticed all Kagami was doing was running. Running... legs... Her eyes widened. Jump. You're a sly one, Riko-chan.

"Nii-chan, can I go with you?" Shinako asked.

"OK nanodayo."

They bought the same drink walked back to camp silently.

However, Shinako was skipping while Shintaro was walking normally behind her.

She saw Kagami lying down on the floor. She stood over him and squinted while he yelped.
