Reunion Gone Wrong

[yeah so I'm doing paragraphs for this now. I was gonna do it earlier but I was lazy. But now it is done! Here my beloved readers~]

They all stood in the living room after Jake's explanation of everything. Dirk whistled and said, "Well, damn. Sounds like a lot." Jake nodded and rubbed his arm nervously. Riften looked outside and the sun was beginning to rise. Riften said, "Dirk, we have to go back to the house this instant. The sun will burn you to a crisp." Dirk said, "Why can't I just stay with Jake?" Riften said, "Because I do not exactly trust you fully." Dirk said, "But he's like, my best friend! I wouldn't do anything bad!" Riften said, "Then what was that an hour or so ago? It obviously was not you trying to eat your friend."

Dirk bit the inside of his cheek and said, "Guess you're right. I'll go then. Bye, Jake." Dirk waved bye to Jake. Riften said farewell and he took the noob vamp back to his house. Jake went up to his room and laid in his bed, not bothering to put pjs on as he drifted to sleep.

Jake woke up and checked his clock that read '7:32pm'. Jake sighed and said, "Grandma'll get mad if I start making this my sleep schedule." He got up straightened his glasses on his face. He left his room and went down stairs to the kitchen to grab something to eat. Jake decided he'd just grab a bag of chips, which he doesn't normally eat, out of the pantry. He opened the bag and took out a chip and ate it. He continued the process until the bag only had crumbs then, he dumped the bag of crumbs into his mouth and threw the bag away.

He walked out to the living room to find Riften sitting on the couch. Jake asked, "Hey! You can't just come into my house you know!" Riften turned and floated over to Jake. He said, "My apologies, but I needed to speak with you." Jake asked, "What is it?" Riften said, "You see, Dirk had been talking with me. And he told me about his younger brother, Dave I think his name was. And well... he ran off." Jake asked shocked, "What?!" Riften said, "I tried to chase him, but we went into a part of town I didn't really know and I lost him."

Jake said, "Then he'd must've headed back to his apartment! He gone to see his brother!" Riften said, "Oh, I can only fear the worst for the poor mortal. I hadn't feed Dirk before he left." Jake said, "Then we'd better hurry!" Riften said, "I can fly us there. Just show me the way." Jake nodded and Riften grabbed his hand. They teleported outside and Riften held onto Jake. Jake pointed to a apartment building in the distance and and shouted, "There!" Riften flew as fast as he could and they landed by the ground of the building.

They ran up some stairs and found the door wide open. Jake lead the way to Dave's room. They heard a bang then a crash. Jake found Dave's door open and walked into the doorway. He saw that the lights were off. Jake flipped the switch by the door. Dave stood by his bed with a frightened expression and Dirk laid on the ground unconscious. Jake asked, "Dave, what happened?" Dave said, "Dirk! He! He's a vamp! He tried to eat me! I hit him with a bat!" Jake looked down at the floor and noticed the bat at Dave's feet. Luckily, there was no blood on it.

Riften went over to Dirk and check him. Riften said, "He's not seriously hurt. There's just a bump on his forehead." Dave asked, "Who's this?" Riften went into Jake mind and said, "Don't tell him I'm a vamp." Jake said back in his mind, "Then what am I supposed to say?" Riften said, "A vamp hunter." Jake said, "I hired him to find Dirk after he tried to attack me." Dave asked, "He attacked you too?! Did he bite you?!" Jake said, "Almost, but no. He didn't." Dave asked, "What now?" Riften said, "I'll just take him back with me and sort everything out. And kid, don't tell anyone about this."

Dave shook his head and said, "I won't." Riften said, "Good. Alright, Jake. Let's get him out of here." Jake nodded and helped pick Dirk up and carry out of the room. Before they left, Jake said, "I'll be by tomorrow to check on you, ok mate?" Dave rolled his eyes and said, "Sure, whatever. Not like I need you to but ok." Jake and Riften then went outside with Dirk. Riften said, "Ok. I can teleport us out of here now." Jake nodded and they teleported back to that room Jake first found Dirk.

Riften picked up Dirk by himself and laid him down on the bed. Jake said, "He's not gonna be out for another week, is he?" Riften said, "No, it was just a hit to the head. If anything, he'll be up in 20 minutes or half an hour." Jake sighed and said, "Good. That's reassuring." Riften nodded and walked over to Jake. Riften grabbed his hand and teleported them to the room Jake first met Riften in.

Jake sort of fell back and landed on the bed and Riften cris crossed while floating in the air in front of Jake. Jake sat up on the bed while his feet sat on the ground. Riften smiled and Jake smiled back. Riften sat down next to Jake on the bed and said, "Jake, I have to tell you something. Something important." Jake asked, "What? What is it?" Riften said, "I think... I think that..." Riften blushed lightly as Jake looked at him. Riften continued, "I think that I love you."
