They landed on the hard concrete, their feet wiped out from under them. "Thanks" Frank nodded to Nico. "Lets move in" Frank said. "Be careful" Nico said to Leo quickly then went to make sure Percy was ready. Piper and Leo followed Frank to a steel door that was left open. "The roof" Percy gestured to Nico. There's a fire escape up to it" Nico spouted to Percy, delighted that he could show his intelligence. "Good. Let's go. Annabeth and Hazel will be here in 15" Percy told him. Nico made sure that his sword was secured in his sheath, then snuck with Percy behind him to a the ladder. "Nico. You first" Percy pulled down the ladder with a screech. Nico braced his foot against the rusting steel, feeling it buckle. "It's not sturdy" Nico jumped down. "It will hold you. Go. Then open the steel case at the top" Percy instructed. Nico climbed the ladder 50 feet to the top just before the latter gave way. Nico quickly pushed the steel lid off the case revealing 10 feet of water. The water began to practically levitate to Percy's hands as he used it to reach the top of the building. Nico looked down through the glass to see Luka on the top floor. Frank, Piper and Leo sneaking around to Luka. "We have to go now" Percy broke the glass sending water down to cushion their drop. "Nico di Angelo. The only demigod I haven't been able to tap into. Why is that?" Luka gestured his hands then people grabbed everyone, leaving Nico standing alone in the center with Luka. "I'll tell you why. It's because that organ, beating in your chest is barely there at all. That boy," he pointed to Leo "is the only thing keeping you from completely self destructing" Luka smiled. "Leave him out of this" Nico spit. "Let the other three go. But assure they leave with the two girls waiting outside" Luka waved them off. The man holding Leo's hands behind his back shoved him forwards with his hands bound at his sides. Nico went to move towards him but Luka pulled a gun. "Nico. You are for sure the strongest demigod, well other than me of course. I need you to command my army. "No. Never" Nico yelled. He pulled his sword. Luka's gun turned to a dagger that he charged at Nico with. After the most dramatic sword fight ever, "Still say no?" Luka asked as their blades were leaning to each other. "Of course" Nico said as if it were preposterous for even the thought to say yes to occur. "Then this is your doing" Luka turned his blade and shoved it into Leo's stomach, just before Nico's sword connected with his neck. "Nico" Leo whimpered before falling to the ground. Nico ripped the ropes from Leo' sides and pulled the dagger from his gut. "You're okay. You'll be okay" Nico cried cradling Leo in his arms.
