"What business?" Nico repeated, grinding his teeth. It was a bad habit he picked up from Hazel. "Do you know where the helm of Hades is?" Jupiter asked. "Why would I tell you?" Nico spit. "I have leverage" Jupiter snapped his fingers. "What the-" Leo appeared, bound in chains. "Don't touch him" Nico growled. "So do you know?" Jupiter asked. "Why?" Nico kept his palm on the hilt mof his sword. "I would like to create an ultimate weapon combining all the most powerful gods. My lightning bolt, Poseidon's tridents-" it was then that Nico realized he was speaking to Zeus. "I don't know where it is" Nico lied. "Don't lie Nico" Zeus taunted. "Why don't you ask my father? He ought to know where his own weapon would be" Nico raised his eyebrow. "I don't like your tone" Zeus boomed. The chains tightened around Leo's wrists. "Nico please..." He begged. "Your father refuses to agree with my plans, and none of those revolting children of Hermes will steal it for me. Cowards" Zeus spit. "I. Can't. Help. You" Nico emphasized. "Fine" Zeus snapped his fingers and a knife materialized. The knife lodged itself into Leo's ribcage. Time slowed. As he cradled Leo's slowly dying body he prayed to Hestia, his friend. Leo had blood dripping out of his lips. "Please?" He begged her. She placed her fingertips to Leo's forehead. Leo coughed back to life. His body was shaking as if in fear. "Its ok. I'm here" Nico muttered into Leo's hair. "What happened?" He asked weakly. "Nothing. Don't worry about it" Nico muttered. Hestia snapped her fingers and they were in the familiar surroundings of Nico's cabin. "I love you" Nico muttered. "Me too. I'm going to sleep now. 'Kay?" Leo said already falling asleep. "Just stay awake a little longer okay L?" Nico asked picking him up. "But I'm tired" Leo whined. His eyes were still closed. Nico could feel his pulse slowing. "No. Just stay awake" Nico told him. "Only for you" Leo smiled cheekily. "Oh shut up" Nico smiled. It was like Leo was on drugs. After a while Nico finally let Leo sleep peacefully. He slept next to him with Leo on his chest.
