Part 12: Christmas Surprises

{Very Long Chapter Ahead!😉}

Matt jumped on top of me. "Get up stupid!" he yelled. I laughed and pushed him off me. He landed on his back on the floor. "Im up idiot." I said smiling and chuckling. "Its Christmas Eve babe, you know what that means." he said. He pulled himself up and laid his arm on his knees. I quickly thought of what he meant. I had no idea! "I do?" I replied furring my eyebrows. "A special, all day date!" he said. I nodded slowly. "Well, I must get dressed then." I said getting up. I walked over to the mirror and undid my messy bun that I slept in. I grabbed a cute outfit from my closet. Then I turned around and gave him the 'get out look'. He walked out and shut the door. I put on my clothes and looked at myself in the mirror. I smiled to look at my dimples. Matt knocked on my door. "Your mom made breakfast down stairs. And I don't want to go down there by myself." He complained. "Go on down you are a big boy." I teased back. I finished up my make up and opened the door.

My mom had made eggs with fruit. "Mom I'm allergic to strawberries," I said picking them out of my fruit bowl. "Oh, sorry sweetie." She said. I glanced over at Matt who was eating a big portion of everything. I nudged him and pointed to his plate. He looked at me clueless and shrugged his shoulders. I laughed quietly and finished my breakfast.

After breakfast my mom went straight to work. "Your mom has to work on Christmas Eve?" Matt asked while unlocking his car. I nodded slowly and let out a long sigh. "So where are we going first?" I asked while turning on the radio. "Ice Skating!" He said excitedly. I sang along to the radio and gazed out the window at the fresh white blanket of snow. And the big snowflakes falling from the sky.

My feet squeezed into the skates.Matt took my hand and carefully guided me onto the ice. I tried to skate but I ended falling on my butt more then skating. Matt lifted me off the ground and wrapped my arms around his waist and I pressed up against his back. He slowly started moving and I just glided. I pressed my forehead on his back to feel his warmth. "How you doin' back there boo?"  He asked while squeezing my hands. "Good. How 'bout you babe?" I asked straightening up and planting a soft kiss on his neck. "Babe if it's too much to ask can we do something else?" I asked looking straight into his beautiful hazel eyes. He nodded. He took my hands and strode to out of the ice rink. I took of my skates and put on my black UGG boots. "Now one of your early Christmas presents." He said getting into the car.  I pulled my buckle across my waist and buckled into place. "One? There's more?Matt..." I said sweetly and kissing him on his cheek.  He smiled and held my hand. Can we just freeze this moment. Can I stay here forever. I thought to myself.

"Close your eyes Alexa," he said opening up the car door and picking me up out of the car. I let my arms reach to see if there was anything in front of me. Then he uncovered my eyes and I saw Matt carrying a box. I took the lid off and saw..... A HUSKEY PUPPY!!! I covered my mouth with my hand and started to cry. I took the puppy out of the box and cuddled it to my chest. "It's a girl. And she was the runt nobody wanted her." He said petting her. I kissed her tiny head. She was all white and had two different colored eyes. One was green and one was bright blue. She looked up at me and Matt. I turned around and kissed Matt on the cheek. "What about my mom?" I said. I thought about how she would react to a puppy in the house. "I already talked to her about. She agreed because she agreed that you needed someone to protect you when she's gone." He said taking the puppy into his arms. I loved watching play with her. "But wait there's more.." He said while putting her in my arms and running to his car. He opened the trunk and pulled out two boxes. He took the kids off and there was puppy supplies like toys, a leash, a collar, a soft purple bed, potty pads, and a cage to put her up a night. I took the collar and put it around her neck. Then attached her leash to it. My arms wrapped around Matt one more time before I kissed him one last time as well. "But that's not all....." Matt said.
