Part 2: Football Games

It's been a week since I met Matt and we really have become close. Its becoming routine that Matt comes home with me after school then leaves when his mom calls him. One night Matt had just walked out the door then all of a sudden he runs back to my house and asks me if I wanted to go to his football game. I told him I'd ask my mom. He gave him his number to text him what she says. I quickly called my mom to ask

Mom:"Hey Alexa, What do you need honey?"

A:"Can I go to a football game tonight?"

Mom: "I guess. I have to go but you have fun honey." she said while quickly hanging up afraid that her boss would catch her. I texted Matt that I could go.

A: I can go!

M: Yay!!! Ill see you there!

A: What time?

M: 7:45. Ill pick you up.

A:I have to go. Bye!

I only had 15 min. to get ready I was going crazy. I quickly threw on a cute outfit ( above )and some jewelry. I did my make up and brushed my teeth. I slid on my promise ring that my dad gave me before he left and grabbed my phone.

Soon he came to my house and smiled when he say me walking out. His dad was driving the car, I felt pretty awkward. "Hey you must be Alexa. Matt go sit back there with her. " his dad said.

"Yep that's me. Thank you for picking me up." I said playing with my hair.

Matt got out of the passengers seat and slid into the back with me. A seat was separating us and I continued to play with my long hair. "Matt talks about you all the time." his dad said chuckling. Matt sat there in silence with his cheeks getting pink. I giggled also.

Soon we got to the school and Matt ran off to go change. I saw Lucy there with Shawn and sat with them instead of sitting with his parents. "Hey Alexa." Lucy said breaking her conversation with Shawn. I waved and saw a girl sit behind me alone. I felt really bad. "Hey you, come sit here." I said while padding a seat next to me. She smiled and came and sat by me.
"Hi my name is Alexa Woods." I said.
"Hey I'm Rebecca Seas." she said shaking my hand. We talked until they started to announce the players. "And number #81 Matthew Espinosa!" the announcer said loudly. I cheered loudly as he came running out.

After the game all of the guys were celebrating their big win 36 to 16. I said goodbye to Rebecca who was now a good friend and goodbye to Lucy. I waited for Matt to come out since his Dad was taking me home. He came trotting over to me. "Great Job Matt." I said giving him a high five. Then he pulled me into a hug. I hugged him back and smelled his wonderful smell. A boyish musk and his cologne. After 10 seconds we broke the hug and I blushed. "Thanks Alex I mean Alexa."Matt said. "You can call me Alex if you want." I said walking with him slowly to his dad's car.

When we pulled up at my house I thanked his dad and got out of the car as Matt walked me in. I thanked him also as we were talking on the porch.
"Hey iI'll text you tonight." I called out to him as he left. I walked inside and hugged my mom to say hi. "How was your night?" she said handing me a plate of spaghetti. "Good. I had a great time." I replied taking in a mouthful of spaghetti. I finished my dinner then walked up stairs to my room. I flopped on my bed and texted Matthew. Soon I fell asleep.
