As Sean parked his car at his house, he sits in silence, resting his head on the steering wheel, deep in thought. He then proceeded to dig through his center console to find his vape pen. If anything would calm him down, it would be the nicotine. He took a huge drag and exhaled while slumping back in the drivers seat. He then leaned the seat back and stared at the roof while continuing to smoke. He pondered his own position in Caroline's world. The fat friend whose shoulder was always open to tears. Sure Caroline had been on Sean's mind much longer than just this year, but they had made their first real connection after she had broken up with her last boyfriend. Sean sat up till 3 am consoling Caroline after that. Sean had never had a problem helping people, hell he even thought he was pretty decent at it, but Caroline never seemed in need of help until then. Sean had always been a loner in terms of relationships, but something about Caroline just seemed different. "Why did she choose Aaron?" Sean thought to himself. "Aaron's an asshole. I mean, I'm an asshole too, but, he's a much bigger asshole." While Sean pondered his thoughts, he was interrupted by his cell phone buzzing in his jacket pocket. Without hesitation, he answered. 'Hello?" Sean said. "Hey Seanie, what ya doing?" Caroline cheerily asked. "What the hell is she calling me for." Sean thought to himself. "Hey Caroline, not much, how about yourself?" "Staring out my window looking at some idiot sitting in his camaro." "Sounds pleasant... Wait, what color?", Sean asked. "Cherry red." "Caroline that's my car. You're staring at me." " I know Sean, I wouldn't call just anyone an idiot." "Am I at least a pretty one?" Sean asked sarcastically."Beautiful Seanie, fuckin' beautiful. " "Thanks Caroline." Sean managed to squeeze out through his laughter."So why'd you call me Cari?'' "To talk you big oaf." "Of all the people to talk to, you made a piss poor choice Caroline." "Oh well, maybe you can listen and I'll do the talking then." "Very well then. Begin." As Caroline began to talk she was being interrupted by a recognizable male voice, Aaron. "Hey Cari, whose there with you?" "Aaron, we're dating now. Hey Seanie I gotta go, Aaron's got stuff to do, so I'm gonna go." Why the fuck it mattered that Aaron had shit to do baffled Sean as to why in the hell it mattered to Caroline; but nonetheless he replied "Bye Cari." Sean slammed his car door and stormed through the house toward his room.
