As the Chevy splashed through the mud on the way towards the giant clearing in the woods, Sean attempts to make sense of his love life and if he should give up on Caroline. Sean didn't want to spend valuable time of his life wasting after an apparition of hopelessness. Rose, noticing the silent strife on his face, said "Do it Seanie. Follow that feeling that keeps gnawing at you in the back of your mind. Even if it leads you away from what you think you want, follow it." Rose was a firm advocate of the drastic uncertainty of life and it's inferable cruelness. Sean flashed Rose a look of affirmation and smiled as he parked the massive truck near one of the sects of the bonfire parties sperate fires. This particular differentiation was farthest away from the main road, and had a beautiful view of the rocky shoreline cliffs near Middleton. A view hidden from town, only visible from the bonfire's circle. Sean hopped down from the cab of dominator and walked towards the wood pile and began to light the fire. When the fire was lit, that was the beacon for your need of drink and drugs. Different dealers of each came by periodically on ATVs and offered their services. Sean bought two six packs of Guinness stout and a gram of pot. Sean never smoked pot, but tonight was no better time to begin. After Sean had placed he and his cohorts chairs, other people showed up to this sect of sex, drugs, music, and alcohol. Sean opened a cold long neck bottle of Guinness and began to sip the bitter beer and ponder his situation. Rose was positioned just to his left and was drinking a 24oz Bud Ice. "Bud Ice tastes like ass ya know." Sean remarked while taking a quick pull off his own beer. "Better than your nasty ass Guinness. Hell of a lot cheaper too." "It's an acquired taste for a cultural palate." "Fuck you Sean." Rose yelled while flipping Sean off and taking a long drink of her Bud Ice. None of their friends could out drink Sean or Rose. When Andy and Deeks were drunk off two beers and asleep in Sean's truck bed an hour later, Sean and rose had finished their booze and were waiting for refills. Just before midnight, Sean restocked their cache of booze with another six pack of Guinness and Rose had bought a bottle of Jack Daniels and a few cans of coke. After Sean cracked open another Guinness and Rose had mixed her drink, Rose finally asked the burning question. "So what's your decision Seanie? Have you given up on Caroline, I mean, a month of straight disappointment, I think she's the one who's losing." Rose said, pausing periodically to drink her jack and coke. "Ya know what Rosie, I think I have. I'm not drunk, so it's not the booze. I genuinely think I'd be better off not pining away over her. I think it's time to stop." "Can't blame you Seanie, she's being so obtuse, it's unreasonable." They then toasted and drank to his newfound decision. Sean then produced the gram of marijuana and Rose rolled up a blunt and lit it and passes it to Sean after puffing twice and blowing smoke rings into the night air. Sean took two short drags and began to cough profusely. "Shit... Fuck... How are you not dead with that big ass hit you took?" "I didn't inhale you daft bastard." Rose said while snatching the blunt. She puffed once more and put it out to save for later. As she did so, a jeep pulled into the bonfire circle and parked. As the occupants exited, he realized who it was. Aaron and Caroline. Sean grabbed Rose's bottle of Jack and took a swig straight. He winced and screwed the cap back on and handed it to Rose who pours a rather large amount into a solo cup 1/4 full of coke. "Oh damn" Sean said after clearing his mouth of the whiskey. Rose took a long pull off of her drink before burying her he'd in Sean's shoulder. "Fuck" she said muffled by Sean's jacket. She removed her head and took another swig as Aaron and Caroline walked towards them.
