Butch POV

"You should really rest." I said

"Speak for yourself, you look awful." she retaliated

"I know, I took a lot of shocks from this cage." I said. Kaoru continued to pace around, continuously yawning. "Kaoru."

I said it sternly and she looked at me. "I'm only worried about getting you out and going on with Boomer's plan."

"I'm worried about you." I replied. She ignored me and kept on pacing around the room. "Kaoru. You need to sit down and rest, I don't want a debate!"

She looked at me. "Excuse me for wanting to help you!" she had a pissed off look. "I was only trying to help you Butch!"

"That's good and all but I don't think you should be using your energy up! You obviously can't transform, you would of done it by now!" I yelled "Goddammit Kaoru! Can you once just listen to me!"

"Fine," she muttered and sat by the table hugging onto her knees. I wanted to say something else, but she had already gone quiet. Meanwhile, I have to think of a way out.

..............................

Kaoru POV

I didn't have the energy to keep a solid argument and I didn't want to. I could only sit there still thinking to myself. Butch, was laying on his back, was completely silent. Soon, sleep overtook me.

"Mat-su-bara-Chan!" arms swung over my shoulder shoulder. Today of all days I didn't want to be bothered. Miyako had me were the outfit she got. It was a white dress that flowed to a creamy light green colored with a brown braided belt and finally a dark green jacket over my shoulders and diamond clips in my hair.

"Gah! I told you to stop doing that!" I gasped at the green boy behind me. This wasn't Butch, he was much more smaller.

"What's up Butters?" He smiled

"You're tiny." I said bluntly

"H-Hey! That's rude jerk!" he screamed as I kneeled to his height.

"Are you lost kid?"

"K-Kid?!" he gasped "You're mean." he glared at me. I could only laugh some. Normally I would ranting back at him but something about this pale, green eyed boy was....cute.

Still glaring at me he asked "Why are you here anyway?"

"Hmm?" I question him looking at my surrounding. I could of swore I was at the school gate a second ago. We were now in front of a familiar wall in the park. It was tagged with green, red and blue paint. I sat on the wall, the little kid sat on my right.

"I have no idea." I replied. "I thought I was going to school..."

"So it's all over!" he looked at me? Did we win!? Come on Butters did we win?"

"What do you mean, won what?" I asked

"Oh, you're clueless." he said bluntly.

"Now who's being rude!" I yelled at him

"Why do you like fighting with me." he asked out of the blue. " I get that sometimes it's for fun or just annoying each other, but when we're seriously pissed. Why can't you listen to me when I'm trying to help you."

"What? I was trying to help you." I stood up.

"Kaoru, I only have your well-being at heart." he said not looking at me and at the ground.

"Hey, what's with you? Look at me." I barked at the now red faced boy.

"He's right you know..."

I turned around, to see Butch standing behind me with that same grin on his face. "You are a lot of trouble." He sat on the wall. "You look very cute," he smiled.

"How so?" I asked

"For one that dress is pretty," he smiled

"Not that!" I yelled "How am I troublesome?!"

"You hate me for one," He turned to look at the ground. "We're always fighting, even if it seems like we're kidding, I know you're pissed off deep down."

"What? I don't hate you," I replied. The silence grew and I sat next to him. I sighed "Yeah, we fight, like all the time. Like little children. You should know that I don't hate you though. I know I told you this but I was terrified when you fainted. I was scared you would die.."

He smiled and laughed. "That's something I never thought I would hear. Butterfly, you know why I told you to rest? I need you to save your strength, I was hoping your hammer could bust the cage open."

"Is that why you're laying in the cage?" I laughed

"Heh, sure." he chuckled. Butch leaned over and kissed me on the cheek. "See you, Butterfly." he got up and left.

Watching him leave, I heard small laughter "We'll win," the little kid smiled appearing back by my side.

I smiled and ruffled his hair. "Yeah Butchy, we'll win."

.......................................................................

Slowly I stretched and looked around, Butch was asleep in the cage. I noticed how many bruises and burns he had on his arms. The cage really took it out of him.

I stood up just as I heard footsteps coming closer. I ducked behind the bookshelf and waited. "Unbelievable." the man grunted "He used up all his energy trying to open the cage."

"Sammy," I heard Butch's voice "Aww, you came to check on me. How sweet. Where's baldy?"

"Baldy, is busy. He asked me to check on you, if you were dead yet." he replied

Butch voice changed to a grave tone. "I would back up, when I get out, the person closest to the cage is who I'm attacking first."

"Nice try, you're not leaving anytime soon." Sam sounded sly

I reached for my belt, ready to attack. Back and forth they argued till the room grew silent. I heard him move toward my direction, by the bookshelf. He was getting closer till the ground shook. I peered and saw Butch slammed his fist on the ground outside the cage before being electrocuted.

"You got some nerve." Sam growled and I pushed the bookshelf to trample on him.

Powered Buttercup!

With one swing, my hammer slammed against the cage knocking the top part off. "Come on, let's go!" I grabbed his arm.

"Get back here!" Sam yelled just to have Butch give him the finger.

"Seeya Sammy!"
