Ch. 7 Playing with Fire (Liana)

"So like you and her are like for real twins?" Delilah asked.

I really didn't like her but Nathans best friend was Adrian and this was his girlfriend so I couldn't do anything about it.

"Yup." I said popping the 'p'.

We walked out the double doors to see Tiana standing with Megan and Richard. Her green eyes went hazel as soon as she seen Delilah but the smile on her face didn't change. She was a true actress.

Adrian's smile brightened when he seen Tiana. He might actually like her. I thought to myself.

We all stopped at Tianas car which Delilah eyed distastefully. I know Tiana noticed but she ignored it.

"Whose piece of trash is this?" Delilah spoke provokingly.

Tiana warmly smiled at her so nicely it almost seemed evil.

"I could say the same thing about you but they say whores have no owners." Tiana laughed as if it was a joke but every one knew was totally what she thought. She waltzed over to the drivers side.

"Trust me I'm worth more than your piece of junk. Almost 20 billion dollars sweety." Delilah hissed taking a step forward and being pulled back by Adrian who seemed to be amused.

"I didn't know prostitutes made that much these days wow! Sex really does pay no matter how... cheap the quality." Tiana smiled at the last part gesturing for us to get in her car. We all did but not before Delilah pulled out a small mirror and through it at the car shattering the wind shield.

Uh Oh...

Adrian glared at her pulling his hand out of hers. Nathan picked up his phone to make a call while Delilah smiled victoriously. I felt Tiana calming herself down. I got out of the car calmly and approached her. I towered over her as everyone got quiet. The chain that hung around me neck was warm and soothing.

"Let me make this clear for your foggy little brain. That is my sister. She could rip your nice extensions clean out of your head without a single thought. So let me help you out. Take your shit and walk. Because next time I'll make sure your skinny ass is walking away beaten and bruised." The threat was clear in my voice. She glared up at me.

"Is that a threat." The world seemed to stop and wait for my answer.

I looked her into her eyes.

"No" I said. "A promise." I turned and walked off and the little group that had been surrounding us walked in all directions whispering.

I slid back into the car to see a smiling Tiana. I may be shy but I had her back through everything. And I didn't want to see her act out of character over some stupid whore.

"Hey I'm sorry I'll make sure your car is fixed." Adrian walked up to Tiana who nodded.

"How about Thursday after school?" He asked her and she smiled her smile.

"Sounds great." While they talked I said goodbye to Nathan and we drove out of the school parking lot with a shattered windshield.

Tiana Pheonix... Damn

She told off Delilah so quick it made my head spin. She was so beautiful too. I couldn't help but long for the smile she gave everyone to be mine and mine alone. The only reason I even went out with Delilah is because we're betrothed and my parents thought this would help us get to know one another. But as soon as she through that mirror any future we ever had vanished.

After I offered to fix Tiana's windshield I turned to her.

"You are an embarrassment. I am so done Delilah. I never want to be seen with you again. I Adrian Victor Wolfe revoke my betrothing to Delilah Lily Serpent." I growled stomping off leaving her in a furious mess Nathan followed me.
