Sean, Megan, and I walked to first period. He got past his introduction smoothly adding how he had just moved here being adopted and how excited he was about it.
When 1st period was over Megan showed Sean to has next class as I was left to continue on to Speech. After that I was in History which I loved and continued to my fourth period computer class.
Adrian was in there today. He was the only person I knew in there actually.
He sat with two other guys and I sat on the other side of the room. Something about his presence unnerved me.
I decided to try to be invisible and just play games and distract myself but the air shifted as three large bodies sat around me Adrian being one of them.
"Tiana I'd like you to meet Anthony Foxe and James Leo. Part of the Fox and Leopard families." He said and I smiled waving at the boys.
Anthony was skinny with a tall body. He seemed confident with his brown hair and caramel colored eyes. James had skin the color of chocolate. His bright smile seemed to put me at ease as his firm looking arms reached out to shake my hand. His eyes we're black and it was like looking into his soul. A childish glint shined in his eye and I knew immediately I liked him.
"So you're the mysterious Phoenix girl the Adrian keeps talking about." James says earning a punch in the arm from Adrian.
"Yup that's me. The one and only." I said awkwardly turning back to my computer game.
"Dude I think we creeping her out." Anthony whispered.
"Just a little bit." I laughed.
After that they began to ask me questions like what did I like to do and my favorite color.
"Wow you play video games!!" James yelled with wide eyes.
"I'm in love." Anthony sighed falling out as if playing dead.
Adrian glared at him for that.
The bell rang and we all filed out for lunch.
The guys walked with me and sat at our lunch table. Now all the seats we're full as everyone else sat down.
Sean seemed to be stealing glances at Nathan and I seen him blushing. The only people who noticed it were Liana and I.
Love must've been in the air because Seth was watching Liana and Anthony was watching Megan. Why do dudes seem like some serious stalkers??
I looked at Richard who shared my confusion.
When the bell rang we again split up and went to class.
We actually had a sub in Advanced Chem today.
Adrian sat with me and Richard along with Anthony and James whom I didn't know their names yesterday.
I kind of felt sorry for Delilah. She was sitting alone. I realized that I may or may not had been a little too rude to her yesterday. I needed to find a way to fix it.
But that day was not today as the sub gave us five pages of chemistry.
As I went into Calculus Sean passed me and began talking about his classes. Beside me Nathan stood whom Sean couldn't take his eyes off.
Li. Something between Sean and Nathan ain't right. I mean I want to know what's going on.
Ever since I first met Nathan I thought he was gay. I get this vibe that he's hiding it.
Did you tell Sean? Because he can't take his eyes off of Nathan.
No I didn't and trust me I noticed.
"Tiana! Were about to be late." Nathan growled at me. I told Sean goodbye and walked into class.
Today we had free time because we finished all our work yesterday. So Nathan and I just talked.
"So what do you think of Sean?" I asked simply.
"He seems cool. I didn't think he would have such a loud personality. It kind of brings more life to Nightshade though if you ask me." He said complimenting him.
"I know it's one of the reasons he's Liana and I's best friend. He may seem loud and crazy but he has a soft quiet side that no one could even imagine. When we we're in grade school and he didn't know he was gay. Us three would sit under the magnolia tree during recess and tell each other stories of how we wish our lives were. It was sad but because we had eachother it was bearable." I said opening up a little.
He nodded and sighed.
"You know Adrian really likes you right?" He said and I looked down
"Nathan, Adrian is the type to like every girl he sees and knows he can get them. He is what I call a douchebag. Because I can recognize a player when I see one. Seth as a matter of fact is one too." I said and he looked me in the eyes.
"Tiana. All Adrian talks about is you. When other girls come by and smile and wave he ignores them. All in asking is to give him a small chance. Whenever he comes to fix your windshield just be nice and start conversation. When he's done maybe invite him inside. He really does want to get to know you."
I nodded.
"Fine. But I swear if I fall for his behind and he hurts me. Its on you Nathan." I said seriously and he nodded.
The bell rang and I reported to my last class of the day. Sean was in here too. And of course Sean new some Spanish already because his orphanage had a lot of Spanish children and adults who taught Spanish or at least the basics.
We all dove into conversations until she gave us our assignment and we got to work.
When the bell rang Sean did a little happy dance as we went to find Liana.
She was talking to Seth with a gym bag over her shoulder. She had changed out of her stylish clothing and into gym shorts, a T-shirt, a pony tail, and basketball shoes.
Seth must've complimented her because she giggled and blushed. See when most girls blushed it was their cheeks. Liana blushes down her arms, face, and neck.
We walked up to save her from anymore blushing occurrences.
"Hey Seth." I said as Adrian and Nathan showed up.
Megan and Richard walked up and we told them Liana had practice so we couldn't drive them home yet. We asked of they we're gonna stay or just walk home. Richard said they would walk even though the look on Megan's face was the complete opposite.
So we said goodbye to them and walked over to the gym where Lianas new coach immediately introduced her to the team who were calling her "Miami".
We sat up I'm the bleachers and watched the girls basketball team practice. It turns out that the guys played basketball for the boy team and they left to go practice also.
That left Sean and I.
"So how was your first day?" I asked him and he smiled thoughtfully.
"It was good. I mean if we could just take all of this to Miami where it's warmer then I would be satisfied."
I laughed.
"This cold weather doesn't do any good for our tans either." I laughed.
"I know right."
A silence settled between us as we watched Liana do a lay up. Everyone on her team seemed to be sweaty except her. Maybe she does have increased durability.
After about two hours the coach concluded practice. It was time to go home.
