Ch. 6 I don't speak douchebag (Tiana)

"Excuse me beautiful ladies but I believe I have met you before."

Megan seemed to freeze beside me at the sound of Adrian's voice. I looked up so see Mr. Perfect looking into my soul with his vivid blue eyes.

If I wasn't an award winning actress I would'be gasped at the sight, but like I said I could be an award winning actress.

"And who are you?" I said feigning ignorance.

"I'm the handsome guy who stopped you at the vending machine." He said winking at me. I would've blushed but instead I said "ohhhhh"

He laughed and asked me where I'm from just like everyone else. So I told him and he smiled.

"Catch you around Miami." He said leaving our table.

"Oh My God." Megan said softly.

I gave her a questioning look.

"That was Adrian Wolfe! He doesn't talk to anyone that isn't in his personal circle of the Wolfe or Sphinx families."

I raised an eyebrow.

"Why?"

"I've only heard rumors. Richard might know though." Megan said making me look at her brother expectantly.

While I waited I compared him to his sister. Same brown hair and eyes but the way he carried himself was a lot more stand offish. Like he didn't trust anyone. I was gonna change that.

"Well Richard what do you know?" I asked sending a big smile his way.

He looked uneasily at me and began to talk.

"Its his family. His and the Sphinx dude Nathan. Everyone in their families are friends and they don't trust anyone else. That girl.  Ummm.. Delilah Serpent. They are dating but it doesn't seem like a real relationship. Something to do with their families." He said in a deep voice. I smiled at him again.

"I get it. Liana and I are Pheonixs my grandma said Adrian and our families don't get along." I said.

He nodded.

"Yeah for some reason a lot of people in Nightshade are like that. Old hate runs deep and the new generatios carry it along. But by the way he looked at you, it wasn't an old hate that was on his mind." He said actually smiling for a first.

"Ehh. He seems like a douchebag. An extremely hot douchebag. But I don't like douchebags. I like people like you Richard. Non- douchebags." I said and Liana nodded.

"She's not lying. When her nerdy best friend Tommy fell in love with her and sang to her in front of the whole school, she smiled, clapped, complimented him, and gave him a kiss on the cheek."
Megan laughed at this along with Richard.

The be rang for lunch to be over which meant that I was off to Advanced Chemistry.

I loved complicated things with a passion. Like math, English, and science.

Richard was also in here so he walked me. There was a total of 6 students in this class including Richard and I. And Adrian happened to be one of them. He sat all the way in the back with the other 3 people. On girl with long black hair and bright green eyes was sitting on his lap.

Delilah I thought

He tried to make eye contact with me but I instead sat in the front of the class by Richard. The instructor hadn't came in yet so I started a conversation.

"So we're Chem buddies now." I laughed and he nodded.

"Thank goodness I was beginning to think I would be bored with no partner for the rest of the year. I laughed softly.
