One Month Later.

Ten And a Half Months to go.

Chapter 13. Cinderella

I can't get him out of my head.

That boy...

The one with the fiery hair.

I don't understand it.

I ran into him (literally) on the beach just over a month ago. I know he goes to our school, but I haven't seen him since.

Does he lurk in the shadows? Hiding in the parts of the school no one dares to go...Maybe a secret attic or dingy basement. I mean, I've never been in either of those places, don't even know if the school has them. But then again, it's a sprawling victorian building, you never know...

But why?!

So many questions.

Why do I never see him?

Why didn't I tell him my name?

Why can't I stop thinking about him?

Like, I ran into the guy once. I've seen him once.

But bam. I can't get him off my mind.

I mean, Ella...What are you even doing thinking about him? He was with a girl already when you met him...the one with the porcelain skin, blood red lips and inky black hair, she's certainly more his type than you are.

With my golden hair and powder blue eyes, I'm nothing like her. I'm just so typical.

Seriously though, why am I even thinking of him anyway? He's nothing like me at all.

My prince is supposed to be...Well...A Prince!

And at this school, that equals; A clean cut, well groomed, perfectly dressed sportsman.

A jock.

Something like that.

Yet I'm stuck on this rebel, this outcast...It sounds like a terrible way to put it, but I never see the guy around, so I can only assume.

Maybe he likes cutting classes?

I'm not too sure.

"Ella, something on your mind?"

My head snaps up from where it's been pressed against my books, Jeannie is looking down at me, her perfect British accent cutting through the fuzz in my head.

The two of us are in the gorgeous redwood library situated within the school. It's usually pretty empty, as a lot of students prefer to study outside under the trees...Or just don't study at all.

"We're not exactly here to learn, we've got to find somebody to love! Remember?" Is what one of my classmates, Rachel, reminded me when I was busy scrawling down notes in class the other day.

I guess she's right, we're not here to learn. But I might as well do it, I like having an education, it's something I missed out on back in my old story.

Scullery maids don't exactly get the best tuition...If any.

And Jeannie is the best person I could have to study with. She has a passion for learning too, she loves geography, biology and world history, it's fascinating to hear her go on and on about it for hours.
