POV: 1st Person (Tobi)

"Meow?" I asked Otosan as he paced nervously in our room.

It seems he didn't understand me because all he did was stop pacing and pet my head. I wish he would tell me why he's so jittery. Maybe if I try to sit on his head he'll calm down.

As I tried to inch my way up Otosan's neck, an uncertain sigh left his lips. It was weird that he hadn't noticed that I was already sitting on his head full of black hair follicles. He was usually very alert although it was easy to tell that he didn't really care. I carefully laid down on his head and snuggled into his raven locks.

Since he was sitting down on the bed at that moment, the lack of movement and sense of danger put me right to sleep as a purr emitted from my throat. After a while, I felt a cold hand pat my back, making me almost jump right out of my own skin!

"Tobi?" Otosan said in a confused yet quiet voice.

It seemed that the tense air that surrounded him diminished until it was no longer present at that moment. I felt his hands wrap around my small (yet tough!) body as he lifted me off his head and held me in front of his face.

I me owed back at him as my eyes once again started dropping from sleepiness. I tried to snuggled into his hand, but failed. Otosan adjusted me in a way where it was easy for him to set me on his chest as he lied down. Once he let me go, I snuggled into his (Dad's) sweater. I felt Otosan tense up again as I looked up and saw a worried look in his eyes. I hope everything is okay with Dad and him.

Speaking of Dad, after mere seconds of falling asleep, his voice called out to Otosan and I, making me perk up and run all the way to him.

Even though I am overjoyed that Dad's home from the place him and Otosan call college, I couldn't help but think: what is going on with Otosan?
