POV: 1st Person (Makoto)

The noises of Haru's barely audible snores and Tobi shuffling around until he had found a nice position to sleep in filled the room as I sighed and turned to face my snoring partner. It was only just a few days until we would no longer be each other's fiancées and would become something much more, and I couldn't quite find it in me to sleep. It was impossible. It seemed like **Hypnos had something against me or something.

I was just about ready to twist and turn all over again when my ears picked up on something different than the previous noises filling the room. Well, it wasn't really a noise; it was more like a lack of a certain noise. I opened my eyes, as I had closed them in hope getting some sleep, only for them to meet with the eyes of a evidently sleepy Haru. Once he saw that I was looking at him, he made a face which he usually made when he wanted to see if something was wrong.

"Can't sleep," I whispered, making sure the slight silence that crawled about in the room was not too deeply disturbed.

Haru moved closer to me, making sure not to disturb Tobi who was now sleeping soundly at the foot of the bed. Haru snuggled his face into the crook of my neck as I wrapped my arms around him.

"Why?" Haru asked, his voice barely audible and muffled.

"I don't know. I guess there are just too many things going around in my mind. I mean, we're getting married in just a few days. I honestly can't wait, yet I still find myself getting nervous. I don't know," I said, rambling slightly and biting my lip in thought.

Haru looked up at me, a thin sheet of tiredness veiling his eyes as the expression of sleepiness from before had seemed to fade off slightly. It really only took a few seconds for me to get immersed into his image.

His blue eyes fiercely resembling the water when a clear blue sky would reflect off of it made me think of just how ready I was to spend my life being able to stare into them and behold their sheer beauty. Some people would say he had piercing eyes, but that's not really how they were. Piercing eyes are more cold and steely, something Haru has never truly exhibited– not even in his darkest moments. The light in his eyes would leave whenever he was in a bad state, but he'd never be able to become so cold. Maybe that's why I wouldn't mind spending the rest of my life looking into his eyes. Maybe it was more because of who he is that made me look at him the way I do.

It took me half a second to realise that I was probably seeming really creepy just staring into his eyes like a teenage boy who's laid eyes on his first love (A/N: or like Wonwoo in Mansae. You get a metaphorical gold star if you know what I'm talking about). I quickly snapped myself out of it, feeling my cheeks, neck, and top of my ears heat up.

"Um... I'm sorry, what–"

"It's okay. I said 'it's okay'," Haru answered resting his head on my chest as he let out a yawn.

Not too long after that, his light snores began to make their way into my ears as the rhythmic sound of them soothed me. Truthfully, just those two words were all I needed to hear from him. Not soon after, I myself fell right to sleep and entrusted myself in the arms of none other than **Prometheus.
