Making Plans

(Piper p.o.v)

I got home from hanging out with Polly at 4:30. Only to walk into an argument with Mum and Dad. They fight all the time and if they aren't fighting they are pretending to like each other. I tried to sneak up stairs and into my room but Mum saw me. "Piper Chapman! get down her, now!" she yelled. Oh shit she used my full name, I'm in so much trouble. 

"where were you this morning?!" She asked 

"I uh had to go to school early" I said quietly

"Bullshit!" She yelled, now she was really mad she never swears infant of me and Cal. 

"Carroll!" Dad said in disbelief at Mum

"well Piper seems to thinks it's okay to swear now!" she yelled. Oh god she found out about the detention. Last time I got detention was in grade 8 because I was late to class and I got a massive lecture when it wasn't really a big deal.

I didn't say anything I just looked away.

"If anything like this ever happens again you're in big trouble." she said in a stern voice. "oh and you're grounded for 2 weeks"

"2 weeks?! I have a party with Polly this Friday and it's holidays next week!" I said trying to get her to change her mind

"should of thought about that before you got yourself in trouble" she said as walked back in to the kitchen

"this is so unfair!" I yelled as i walked up the stair and into my room slamming my door shut.

I have to go to that party otherwise Polly will kill me. I should just leave home i'm sure they would both like it much more. God damn why do you have to be 18 to leave home. I'll just live with Alex or Nicky or someone. I wonder what would happen if I actually did. I'll talk to Alex about it. I got my phone out and started texting her.

Piper- just got blasted by my mum for getting detention

She replied really fast.

Alex- It was just 1 detention far out, are you grounded?

Piper- yep. 2 weeks

Alex- that sucks :( will i be able to see you outside of school?

Piper- I hope so, I was thinking about what it would be like if i left home for a week or so

Alex- where would you go?

Piper- I was thinking either you or nicky 

Alex- well you're welcome here it's just me most of the time

Piper- sounds good, I have to go i'll talk to you about it tomorrow, byeee

I went to have a shower and think about moving out for a week or so. It could either go well or make things worse. It could make my parent's realise how much they'd miss me (if they did) or I would get in more trouble. After my shower I got changed in to my pyjamas and went into Cal's room. He was playing a video game but paused it when I came in.

"I heard you and mum before" he said

"She's so annoying like it was one detention I got from a stupid teacher"

"yeah I guess, but where have you been going when you sneak out at night? I saw you on Saturday and Sunday night" Cal asked

"oh shit umm yeah don't tell mum okay, I went to a party Saturday night and a friends house Sunday night" I said quietly

I knew I could trust Cal with stuff like this because he never liked to get involved with family drama. "Woah never knew you had this in you Piper" he said as he looked pretty shocked "wait you do this with Polly?" he asked confused
