I sped walked down the abandoned street hurriedly as the rain continued to pour down. It completely soaked my dark hair, with rain droplets running down my shirt onto my back. Damn, why didn't I have an umbrella? Or a hoodie no less. I usually never leave the house without my trusty black Pokémon jacket. But I was in a rush. My friend called me saying she had an emergency, so being the amazing friend that I am, I hurried over to her place. This "emergency" of hers though was her cat going missing. Again. Which makes this the third time this week she called me crying that her little tabby Molly was no where to be seen. Not like I don't love animals. But seriously? Why call me for that? Her precious kitty was found of course. It was hiding in her closet. Not a surprise. I would hide too if my owner came running at me trying to fit me into pink sweaters for a selfie.
So here I was, walking down this lonesome sidewalk--as it was growing dark might I add--in my plain jeans, boots, and short sleeve shirt. Is this what I get for trying to be selfless and helpful? I hugged myself to try and keep in some warmth, but it was all in vain as a huge gust of wind pulled at my shirt. I tried to think of something warm. A fire place burning, hot coco, Drew's hugs. I smiled at the thought of him. Drew was my crush at school. With his warm brown hair and beautiful brown eyes. He was so talented. With his skills of drawing and cosplaying. He did love himself some anime. It was rare when he would give me a hug though, but that just made his hugs even more special.
As I got lost in my own thoughts, clumsy me bumped into what felt like a wall. I stumbled back and lifted my head up at whatever I bumped into. It was a man. A very tall, almost boulder of a man who towered over me. As he turned his head to glare down at me, I saw an ugly scar starting from his left cheek bone and ended at his chin. Wonder what the story behind that is.
"I'm--" Before I could even finish my apology, he swung a quick elbow at me. I collapsed onto the ground as pain surged through my jaw. I barely even saw the guy move! Whoever the guy was, he apparently had a short temper. I tried to jump back on my feet, but was stopped by a hand slamming into my chest. I gasped, and started struggling by kicking my feet and flailing my arms in the hopes of it making contact with him.
Who is this guy? Seemed to be my only thought at the moment. Not I have to fight back or punch him in the face! My mind seemed to race and yet it was completely blank on a good way to get out of this mess.
"Let go of me!" I screeched, struggling under his meaty hand.
"What's one more?" He mumbled to himself, pulling his fist back.
"Wait--" But before I could finish, everything went black.
