The rest of the week seemed to have went by in a breeze. Grammy was still heavily on my heart, but somehow I was still managing to cope well. Work, and thoughts of Jermaine took my mind off of my sorrows.
I was somewhat eager for me and Jermaine's date tonight. Jermaine never fails to take my mind off of all of my problems, and relaxes me. I found it weird that I was falling for him again so easily. What if I'm just setting myself up for failure again? What if Jenna was right?
My thoughts were quickly interrupted with the sound of a knock on my front door. I took one last look at myself in my full body mirror before catching the door. I somehow felt myself grinning as I hurried to catch it.
I knew it was no one but Jermaine.
"Hey punk," J said once I opened the door. He took a quick moment to examine my attire as he flashed me a smile.
"Hey J."
I pulled the door back further as Jermaine stepped inside my house. He ironically wore a Bulls jersey, black levi's, and Bred 11s. He told me to wear my jersey, but I didn't know this nigga basically jocked my whole outfit!
Considering the fact that he won the bet, he gave me a special order of wearing my jersey. I hadn't worn it in years, so I had no idea what to wear with it. I decided to pair it up with a pair of simple black jeans, and some Jordan's that I also haven't worn in a while. I personally wasn't a big fan of Jordan's, but J bought them for my 21st birthday. That was at least six years ago. I'm surprised I still have them after all this time. Better yet - still fit them!
"Chris yo' ass stay jocking me!"
"Oh puh-lease! That's all you Jermaine. You know you looked through my window," I joked as I placed one of my hands on my hips and watched as he took a seat on my couch.
"You gotta at least admit that we cute though. Look at us - matching. We'll be sure to get some buzz tonight."
"You're so conceited. You just love the attention don't you?"
"Mhm - maybe. But if you would hurry your short ass, we could leave!"
I rolled my eyes as I folded my arms. "Nigga I been waiting on your giant ass this whole time! You the one who got comfortable on my shit like you live here."
"I use to, so technically -"
"Man fuck you," I laughed as I threw a nearby pillow at him. "You didn't even live here that long!"
"Yeah - cause we decided it would be better for you to move in with daddy - remember?"
He licked his lips as he gave me another smile - which only caused me to blush. I hated how weak Jermaine made me feel. He knew exactly how to get me every time.
"That was the past. You're no longer 'daddy'. As far as I'm concerned, you're Jermaine."
"No longer? Well shit I will be again soon! That's all you'll be yelling out when I'm finished with you."
Jermaine smiled as he swayed his knees in a horizontal motion and rested his arm in between his legs. All I could do was smile and shake my head.
"Anyways, where are we going?" I asked him as I placed my hands back on my hips.
"Daddy Cole got some tickets to the game tonight!" he replied as he pulled a pair of tickets from his pocket.
My eyes instantly bulged out of head as a scream escaped my mouth. The Chicago Bulls were my absolute favorite basketball team, and if anyone knew that, it was definitely Jermaine.
